when there’s not enough disabled spots and you have to leave because you can’t safely get to the building from a regular spot.
abled people think of disabled spots as a “luxury” but they are literally the only way some of us can get to school, work, the grocery store without risking bodily harm.
Y’know what? Disabled people have butts too. Disabled people wear lingerie too. Disabled people send nudes too (how shocking! 🤭). Heck, disabled people even feel sexy sometimes too. I’m tired of shrinking and hiding my sexuality because society tells me that my sexuality is a taboo, that it makes people uncomfortable, that it’s shameful. Y’know what? Fuck that noise. I have a butt. I like my butt. My butt shouldn’t be be more shocking than cisgender, able-bodied butts on Instagram. You don’t like it? Jog on. I have no more time or energy for making myself palatable for the consumption of the abled gaze. Yeah, I’m lookin’ at you over there. You feeling uncomfortable? Disturbed? I think you’ve got a bit of ableism stuck in your teeth. Just there. On another note, I wanna see more disabled butts on here. Leave a 🍑 if you agree 🤔 #disabledbutts #disBABEled #disabledandcute #cripplepunk #cpunk . . . [Image description: Ruby is sitting on their bathroom counter taking a photo in the mirror from behind. Out of this world~ 👽⭐☄✌
Okay to reblog~
I have just discovered this amazing hashtag
sup pals!!!
yall have heard about hr620, right? the ada education and reform act? well if u havent take a moment to google it and then come back. in short, hr620 makes it REALLY difficult to sue businesses for discrimination for not following the ada, thus taking away the incentive for businesses to follow it. crappy, yeah?
well u can do something about it!!!! it was passed in the house of representatives in february, and is now in the senate. what u can do is WRITE TO UR SENATOR URGING THEM TO VOTE AGAINST IT!!! whether ur disabled or u just actually give a crap about people who are, do it!!! the senate currently is republican majority but that doesnt mean this bill has to pass!!!! write to ur senator, make a difference, dont let hr620 pass!!
thank u ill get off my soapbox now
tl:dr; hr620 is sucky for us babes with disabilities, so write to ur senator telling them to vote against it.
leave a comment or message me if u need a template!
i have pretty much written my entire thing to my senator already!
