I had to call my phone company last week cause I got two suspicious calls asking about invoices, tow trucks, and the post office. One of them kept asking me where I was. Each one could read my phone number back to me perfectly.

And before you tell me not to answer calls from unknown numbers, I have to answer it in case it’s my job.

But yeah this is real; so watch out folks.

Anon is purposely taking the statistics of trans suicide out of context and twisting them to fit their narrative, or they’re just incredibly stupid and don’t understand how to read stats correctly. Let me, your resident transgender scientist clear it up for you.

It was found suicide rates increased during transition but then drastically drop once the trans person is post-transition (with what post-transition means different to each trans person obviously). So while 67% of transitioning trans people thought about suicide, this rate dropped to 3% in post-transition trans people (Bailey et al., 2014).

Futhermore the What We Know Project, a research initiative that is lead at Cornell’s Center for the Study of Inequality, completed the most up-to-date and massive comprehensive literature review as of 2018, on the mental health of trans people that underwent transition and found that out of the studies published since 1991, 93% (56 studies) of all the studies reported that transitioning overall improved the health of transgender people. Only 4% (7 studies) reported mixed findings and 0 studies reported transitioning doing more harm then good.
