“She said she’d be here an hour ago,” Sirius muttered under his breath. He peered over his best friend’s shoulder and stared down at their map, in route to the Slytherin common room for yet another ‘well thought out’ prank. Jame glanced over at him, lowering the map.

“Will you shut it already? She bailed, like Remus did a few weeks ago. Maybe she’s ill or something. And if she doesn’t want in on the fun, that’s her bloody choice.” He let out a deep sigh, then lifted the map back up again.

“But we can’t even see her on the map. We should at least be able to see her—”

“Sirius, I know you’re in love with her. But, that doesn’t mean you need to know where she is every moment of every day. We’re on a mission. That’s our focus now.” James rolled his eyes at his buddy. “Mate, come on.”
