Hi! I'm Mordred! I'm a trans woman that loves photography, writing trans smut, and streaming video games for folks to watch. I'm disabled, unemployed, I've tried for many months to get a job, but no where has given me a call back. I'm really desperate to keep a roof over my head, food in my fridge, and the electricity and Internet kept on since my husband (only source of income) works from home.

hi everyone. once again I am coming to you earlier than i ever want to, because of convincing from other people. July has been very rough after being in the hole after june cause of my mom. I thought I solved everything and blocked her from spending on the game. I called my bank and said to deny all transactions through the merchant. it still somehow got through so I have lost any amount I was able to budget to save for august to ask for less help. I am... so tired. I am going to have to get an entirely new bank account at this rate that she has no access too, but that's gonna take some time due to my disabilities. On top of all this, bills and food took their toll, and unexpected bills at that. I am trying my best to do anything to get by but sadly no one in the area is hiring for remote part time work and I have had even less luck looking online. I have set the goal for august at $1,200 which is a lot more than I ever want to set it too, because I am genuinely scared that some random giant bill for $200 dollars is going to come in due to my anxiety. If you can consider supporting a disabled trans woman, I would forever be thankful. I am truly deeply sorry that I have to ask for help every month, it causes me great shame which I have been told by my friends isn't fair to myself, but I can't help it. Over 144 fires on record, you've seen the fire from Armstrong and another from Collins, but several First Nations along the corridor have lost their homes and have been displaced. Camp Fees 4 Disabled Folks Survival

Hi, me and my family are homeless and trying not literally die this summer due to the heat. In order to do that (plus provide ourselves a stable-ish living space and basic hygiene) we need to be able to stay at a campground.

35CAD (25USD) is the rate per night, adjusted to include paypal fees. We have other expenses too, including food, cooking gas, vehicle gas, and storage bills.

i think americans should have to put a banner above their post that says U.S. CENTRIC ADVICE/INFORMATION. i think political posts should clarify that they are giving protest/societal/class information relevant only to the USA i think i would like to stop getting halfway through a post with really good information and then realising it is not widespread advice and is only applicable in the united states of america

for the love of GOD can we PLEASE stop treating us-centric advice as applicable to the whole entire world. Please. beyond anything else, i do not think you guys understand how difficult it makes it for young people to interact with and learn information relevant to them.

at a certain point, treating us-american advice as universally applicable borders on misinformation. i am not saying that it is done maliciously, but it is dangerous at worst. i do not want younger people going around assuming that certain laws do/do not apply to them and getting in trouble because of it. i worry about what 'fundamental/constitutional/labour rights' are only legally defensible in the USA. i worry about kids who do not know yet to wonder where the advice is for, and take it as fact because a post that reads "EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW THIS" begins with "EVERYONE".

okay yes all the tags are very very good points but i would like to point out the main reason i made this post, which is that

if you are non-american then it can be dangerous to hold beliefs about your rights that are only applicable in the US.

i am australian and i have seen young australians have completely us-american perceptions on the rights they hold (or do not hold) in regards to protest, police officers, self-defense, medical care, higher education, debt, and legal proceedings. i am not talking about "boooo americans" i am talking about the genuine danger it might present to have us-centric assumptions in high-stakes situations

(please do not chalk this up to 'if you don't do research then you are stupid'. i made this post with young people in mind. that being said i am willing to bet it also applies to others, ie those who are newer to non-local internet, older folks, or those escaping high-control environments.)

A frustrating externality of transphobes having as much of a microphone as they do is that it makes having an actual nuanced and balanced discussion of certain trans topics insanely difficult without someone assuming you've already bought into transphobic talking points. Like it drives me crazy that TERFs stuck their flag in "male socialization". It should not be controversial to talk about how children are raised and socially conditioned differently based on their assigned gender at birth (with wide variance within that conditioning based on a wide variety of other factors) and how this impacts trans people after coming out without this being shorthand for the TERF version of this concept which is basically just "once a man always a man". Similarly, anyone who has spent any amount of time hanging out with groups of trans women can tell you that straight trans girls and lesbian trans girls tend to run in different circles with relatively distinct cultures, but broaching that subject summons the ghost of Ray Blanchard to loom over any observation you make

i hate the concept of a "noncompliance" in medicine. says absolutely scathing things about the medical and psych industry that a patient not consenting is seen as a problem to push through and a problem with the patient themself rather than someone exercising their right to informed consent that SHOULD BE FUCKING RESPECTED.
