a good ol' lappy appy. the appendix is tethered by the MESENTERY! (the dark brown part here). the bottom left instrument is a stapler, which seals and cuts at the same time.

C is a side view of the trocar inside the abdominal wall, which is how we put the instruments inside. then we pull out the appendix! (not exactly like that tho; in real life you put it in a little bag, then pull the bag out)
