Yes Ianto's death is devastating but Owen and Toshiko's fates are just as bad. Dying alone with only a voice for comfort, or being condemned to slowly decay in a radiation chamber... at least Ianto was with the man he loved.

Anyway, who wants to be in denial about Toshiko Sato's death with me 18 years after she was killed off? I'm sure there must be some of you still around.
torchwood really created some of the most incredible characters ever. Like some days I just think about Owen and I cry a little and then I think about Tosh and I cry a little and then I think about Gwen and I cry a little and then I think about Ianto and I can't see anymore because of all the tears and if one thought about Jack pops up it's all over.

my favourite part of mark of the rani is when the master says "if we work together we could literally rule the universe" and the rani goes "no I don't want to. I just want to do science and for you to leave me alone" but the master is already so dead-set on the idea that he steals her things and holds them out of her reach until she agrees to play with him
Doctor Who’s companions on life inside the TARDIS [x]
it’s kinda crazy to me that most people don’t really like the mark of the rani i mean yeah sure the main plot isn’t anything spectacular but who cares about the main plot when you have the peak comedy trainwreck of the doctor + the master + the rani going on. the only thing better than watching the doctor and the master’s situationship is having someone third in there that has known their situationship since the beginning and is extremely tired of it. absolute cinema to me
The episode fades directly from Salamander to Two and the difference between these two is incredible.
Ten appreciation 😌❤️
Alien technology plus human stupidity. Trust me, it’s unbeatable.

↳ Amy Pond, there’s something you better understand about me ‘cause it’s important and one day your life may depend on it: I am definitely a mad man with a box.
