Let me introduce myself. I am a former art student now switching to multiple language studies... After spending quite some time abroad I am struggling to settle down again in Austria. so i was making a (provisory) timetable for my courses this semester and there’s this course that i’m interested in that ’s called “problem of god” but it somehow endet up lookin like the course is called “problem of” and God is now my professor. welp we’ll see i guess?

Guys, miracles do exist!!!

I just witnessed a miracle, I’M NOT EVEN KIDDING! This professor didn’t grade me for this semester because I had to visit another course at the exact same time this semester- which usually is totally acceptable in our faculty bc it’s bon ton for students to be present for at least half of course time. My grades in both exams was above class average yet he preferred to NOT grade my efforts since he felt I needed the ENCOURAGEMENT. his oh-so-nice gesture nearly provoked a mental meltdown during class bc I still suffer from the burn out last year (also due to my two simultanious studies and far too many classed to keep up with) and would have caused me to wait A FULL YEAR to retake the course! and yet, suddenly he was inspired by some divine intervention to give me the opportunity to hand in a paper that might save my grade! 

as it is my fortune, I already have the book I was supposed to write the paper about since I wanted to read it in advance for next year… miracles really do exist. so, I’ll be off to work, see you guys sometime in august!

Update: it's been a month since I've handed my papers in and I have yet to receive either grade... but after years of desperate and fruitless job hunt I finally got one! And since tumblr offers little more than porn blogs and commercials lately I might log off permanently. Thanks for the nice time, guys!

let me vent a little bit about something personal for a moment:  last semester I lost a friend when I spiralled down into depression and it HURT. today said person approached me again now that I seem better (bipolar disorder here, moderate episodes are short and far in between, but thanks for noticing) and they seemed really invested in letting me know that they still cared and so on. but I don’t feel like investing in a really dysfunctional friendship all over again so I pretty much summed up the situation to give them an out BEFORE they commit to the cause. because after all, I am not the easiest person to live with all issues aside, but so aren’t they. We used to care a lot about each and bond over our odd status outside the norm even though we take up very contrasting positions.

now please tell me, is it reprehensible if I REALLY HOPE they reconsider an take me up on the offer? can you blame me for trying to give them an option in order to prevent bad feelings on both sides? and most importantly, what do I do if they decide to save our “friendship”? How do I deal with the fallout if we rule it off once and for all?

and now they go on and on about hugs even though we established a no touching rule from the very start (I am a very affectionate person and frequently hug and get hugged but only in pre-negociated situations) and I’m like??? why NOW? their hugs always feel super awkward, like embracing a wet tablecloth because it seems forced on their side which results in general discomfort?  why are they so fixated on reintroducing hugs after refusing physical contact in general? at first I tought they only offered hugs for the sake of conforming to social norms and to please me but now they’re completely taken aback. hugs aren’t even the central issue in this but they act as if they were?
