Too Hot Take: the majority of people claiming bisexuality doesn’t include trans and/or nonbinary people are transphobes who don’t think trans/nb people are included in straight or gay either. And those people have found a way to simultaneously be transphobic, be biphobic, and demonize/scapegoat pansexuality.
You see this shit replicated over and over again and y’all keep falling for these same exclusionary tactics.
If you are a transphobe, of any sexuality, and you see people accepting trans ppl, you will do something to interrupt it. But because you’re on tumblr, where direct transphobia won’t necessarily spread, you have to be more underhanded about it.
For example:
co-opting cishet into an aphobic dog whistle, thus pitting trans ppl (who are the majority of people who remember to say cishet instead of straight) and a-spec ppl against each other
villifying the word queer. (seriously “q-slur” wasn’t really a thing pre-2013. Interesting how that also coincides with a big uptick in t*rfs on this site, huh?)
“butch/femme is only for lesbians” and how the conversation became whether or not all wlw (and only wlw) can use it, effectively erasing our actual history which is: literally every letter in our alphabet umbrella has used butch/femme, and it was (and is) in fact a huge part of trans culture.
