The important thing to remember about conspiracies is that 1) scientists in general are not hiding facts, they will in fact tell you literally everything about their research if you ask 2) people are REALLY bad at keeping secrets and the more people are involved, the less likely it is that a secret will actually STAY secret and 3) the moment a big secret comes to light (because it always does), there will immediately be a flood of lies about it that will completely muddy the waters and make it incredibly difficult to know what's real, which makes conspiratorial thinking easier to fall into when any denial of "facts" feels like a cover up and not an attempt to clarify the truth.
Also pretty much all modern conspiracies are deeply and horrifically antisemitic. Dig into any conspiracy theory and you'll usually find "the jews did it" pretty quickly.

SILENCE IS VIOLENCE and 50 Other Convenient Hashtags and Slogans You Can Repeat Ad Nauseam Instead of Trying To Develop a Well Informed Political Opinion or Having and Articulating a Single Original Thought.

I find it funny that silence is only violence when it pertains to issues they care about.
But for issues they don't care about? Bringing attention to those issues is somehow violence.

"Silence is violence" is possibly the worst woke 1 idea, pretty much guarantees you end up with a bunch of very loud people who have no idea what the fuck they're talking about

Inspired by @cherry-blitz 's crossover fiasco + their recent Alastorcest comic + an ask about how their respective Vox would react to Canon!Al and Angelstor cuddling together + their chibis being the cutest critters ever
Canon!Vox thinks he has a chance if he's going all out. Angel AU!Vox only has a chance as long as Canon!Al is distracted.
The irony of this new breed of self-righteous AI hunters on AO3 is that they're all just copy and pasting peoples fics into AI detectors, which are all operated by AI and therefore THEY are feeding people's work into the algorithm without their consent and in some cases no doubt circumventing the locks people put on to avoid getting scraped...
Don't copy and paste anyone's AO3 work into third party websites, you're not the good guys in this situation?

Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
I want you to understand this. I NEED you to understand this. My mother read me the hobbit as bedtime story, and I started pushing myself to read before pre-school so I could in fact read the hobbit for myself instead of having to wait for bedtime.
I didn't do so right away but jesus wept I PUSHED myself to learn to read SPECIFICALLY so I could read The Hobbit! It is, in fact, a children's story! And children only see page count as 'there is a lot of this fun story to read!'
Look, not to be "back in the day things were Better and we were Smarter", nor to be a conspiracy theorist.
But the dumbification of children media is a thing.
I found this old book version of the three little pigs from the 40s, and my French followers will understand how much we have lowered the standards for youth reading.
And I'm convinced it starts with how we illustrate books as well. I used to have this science book for kids, explaining complex notions in various scientific fields.
I came across a recent edition of that book recently. Not much had changed...except for the illustrations. They were much more cartoony, simplified, with bright colors.
You're going to tell me "but Ista, why is it so important ?"
Why do you want to make an illustration simple ? To make it more palatable to little kids who don't understand much. If you keep seeing your audience as dumb little kids, you'll end up using simpler words. And as it gets more and more simple, you'll challenge them less to learn or understand complex notions.
Now, do I think every little kid should read the full edition of the Musketeers or the Miserables? Hell no. Is there no modern children literature worth reading ? Certainly not. Should we encourage reading or movie watching beyond the bare minimum? Yes. Yes, and it's beyond necessary.
