Thinking about Eldritch!Earendil
He's been hallowed by Varda so he can sail the Void without harm. He spent thousands of years right by the Silmaril, that's bright enough to be seen from Earth as a star.
A person who became a star. What does that do to you?
Here's some thoughts.
Can stare at bright light without any kind of bad effect. He can see in the dark and also in blindingly bright light without any kind of ill effect
Does not technically need to sleep, but gets tired. He doesn't have the typical physical effects of lack of sleep anymore, but he still has the mental effects.
doesn't technically need food anymore. Is possibly partially getting sustained off of the light of the Silmaril. No one's sure. (He still eats when he's on the shore - people give him weird looks if he doesn't)
He's definitely for sure breathing still. Honestly. Trust. Ignore that if he gets too into something he forgets to for long periods of time. It's fine.
Too much time spent close to the Void means that it's leeched into him a little, despite Varda's best efforts. His hands are always cold. Sometimes rooms he's in are always a little too dark, even if it's mid-day.
Gets distracted mid-conversation CONSTANTLY. always seems to be looking up at the sky, staring at something no one else can see, or listening to something no one else can hear.
(The song of the stars is loud, even on the shore.)
Elves are used to people with light in their eyes. Not light like this, though.
