martyn (yes ik hes alistar in bf, canon is a government hoax) is ren’s personal knight, and gets cursed into being a frog and he is unable to reenter soluna and none of his letters manage to get through.

he is also cherri’s other bio parent.

he becomes a thief like he was as a child to make ends meet and when he tries robbing two women in the woods he comes across the daughter he was forced to leave behind. he promptly insults apo’s knight abilities and offers himself up as an additional bodyguard.

this is the only painting ever made of king ren, the disappeared guard captain, and the princess whos mother never seemed to exist at all.

the call me maybe verse (cmmverse) fic series is based on a bunch of 2000s and 2010s pop music and its about ren (and many others) being guards at a historical castle museum but its where they cant move or interact with anyone? so martyn makes that ren’s problem. and then they flirt with blinking
