Please?
I could use some good luck.
i can't vibe with anyone who thinks icarus was an ignorant idiot for flying too close to the sun. "oh i'd never do that i would have remembered my father's warning and been fine". do you seriously think that after years of imprisonment, feeling the sun on your face and the open air beneath your wings, you would be able to focus on anything but the joy of being alive and free? do you actually think that if you were given the opportunity to go where nobody has never been before, you wouldn't want to push it to the limit? to dare to be the first to try what no one else has ever even thought possible? do you honestly think you're too good for your own human nature? look me in the eyes and tell me if i strapped a pair of wings to your back that could take you wherever you wanted to go whenever you pleased that you'd be careful and sensible about it. you are not better than icarus just because you have the benefit of his example.

Get you a girl who can do both
a lot of people (in any space but this is specifically abt sapphic/wlw spaces) don’t realize how much white people dominate and influence our community’s culture
with things like music, white artists are celebrated and promoted to the point where that artist becomes heavily associated with said community, and that is a big problem
many people can go their whole lives only consuming media created by white people because white media is more accessible due to the privelges afforded to white artists
white artists can have ties to music industries (like clairo) or can have the financial means to create and promote their art
on the other hand, many black and brown artists do not have that luxury. artists like noname (a black rapper) have to constantly go on tour even when they don’t want to just to be able pay for necessities like rent
white sapphics/wlw, as a part of a marginalized community, should make more of an effort to uplift and promote independent black and brown artists
some black and brown lgbtq artists

Nah earthbenders had something to do with this
Postpiles like this occur when large pools of basalt cool under a glacier. The lava freezes on all 6 sides, and then slowly cools on the interior. But because it shrinks as it solidifies (unlike water), that puts the interior under tremendous internal stresses, which tend to break along hexagons (with occasional pentagons and septagons thrown in) because that’s a shape that tesselates while also minimizing perimeter to area ratio (ie the least amount of high-energy cracking needed per volume). And then at some point something weathers the top and sides so you can see it. And yes they are this cool in person.

This formation is close to a glacier. Not sure which one, but you can tell from the telltale blue-green water, which indicates a high concentration of the type of superfine sediment that you get in glacial runoff. And that is also amazing to see in person (water is actually fairly rarely really blue).
Thanks for the explanation! Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland/Southern Scotland is another example.

Amazing
The only thing standing in between you and owning any sort of "parking enforcement device" is a $5-$15 tool. A "security torx" is usually just a 3/8" or 1/4" torx bolt with a hollow center (get just the bit for like 25 cents on eBay) and normal boots use tubular locks, almost always shitty cheap ones that can be jimmied by a $15 impressioning tool.
Learn about physical security, it's limits and weaknesses, and learn some simple lock-smithing/-picking. It will come in handy one day and beyond some advanced tools, most of it can be found very cheaply or even made if you've got a knack for simple metal working. Most locks in this country can't put up with a simple propane torch, let alone a bump key, rake, or jiggler.
