However, it is NOT a fangame, nor a video series that looks like a videogame, itβs instead going to be something much simpler: a script with visuals. You could say itβs like a fanfic, except it is only dialogue that is written, and there will be drawings, gifs and even animatics included from time to time in its presentation. But yeah basically, itβs a fanfic.
Mansion Play is not the main project I am working on, that would be Estranged Family, a spin-off of my game Friendship Test. However, it is something that I am casually working in alongside my main project, since Iβm taking things easier after spending the last two years working on multiple games. Of course it will take time, but Iβm happy to officially be back to working on this!

I was kinda scared to post it but i think all of my life I was so centered on my art being applicable to majority and safe i avoided any problematic stuff and lost the whole reason why i love art in the first place!! And art was always the way for me to deal with enternal conflicts and my own feelings! I guess i will post more stuff like that! First drawing is like⦠really old, but i like it. Stalking is definitely not the thing that can be romanticized its completely awful and i have been dealt with it multiple times in my life myself and it done so much damage to my brain that I will never be able to undo. but two middle aged man being toxic makes me happy.

Sam and Maxβs relationship on Tomodachi Life actually has me so invested. Sam fell for Max very randomly in the demo, but I was like whatever it doesnβt have to be in character this is a silly game. But then Sam kept trying to get romantically closer to Max only for Max to not really care (very aromantic of him), so Sam ended up very discouraged. Then Max was really really annoying and started talking for 2 hours and Sam said βI think Iβm over the crushβ which was SO funny. They were cool though, they decided to live together and were each otherβs favorite person. Then Sam starts infodumping about something and THATβS when MAX realizes βoh i love this manβ and it had me smiling so hard because THATβS so in character. Then a few hours passed and Sam told me he thinks about Max a lot and I helped him realize he likes him which is also VERY in character, the way I picture Sam realizing he likes Max is when he is not actually interacting with Max! Its when he thinks about him! Anyway, they both like each other but none of them are doing anything. Iβm super invested in this, this game is such an improvement from the 3ds tomodachi life my god...
1. I love that the main reason Junior caught Mario off guard is because he was too pissed at Bowser for trying to kill Luigi while he was down to watch his surroundings.
2. In the background you can see Luigi very subtly lift his head, like heβs trying to force himself to get back on his feet despite being half-conscious.
So you know how in EP 179 Basira says to Jon, "You apologize too much", to which he replies, "Martin says the same thing", and then Basira says, "Like he's any better"?
So yeah, this little interaction inspired me to crunch some numbers. And believe it or not, but Martin is, in fact, better!
Statistically speaking.
Over 5 seasons, Jon apologizes 122 times, while Martin apologizes 91 times.
The main difference between these two is that Jon apologizes more frequently and for everything (especially in S5), whereas Martin piles up multiple 'sorry's per apology.
Nothing illustrates that better than this little tidbit, which coincidentally comes from EP 179, as well!
EP 179 is *also* The Most Sorry Episodeβ’: it sits at 9-4 with Martin in the lead!

βSince this post was (is?) getting a lot more traction than I expected (not gonna lie, a bit spooked), I should probably add a few notes regarding the data.
βMost importantly, I only counted the regretful kind of "sorry", and so dismissed the instances where "sorry" was used as a substitute for "come again?", "huh?" or "my condolences", or was said in a sarcastic manner. There were a few cases which kind of blurred the line, but I ultimately decided to add them to the count, as well.
For obvious reasons, the 'sorry's read out from Statements weren't counted.
βAlso, Martin's total for Season 1 *technically* comes up to 7 total apologies. The additional 2 come from EP 161, specifically the birthday tape, β but I think it makes more sense to attribute them to Season 1 Martin.
βHere's a fun little tidbit: Martin's first apology appears in EP 23, and Jon's β in EP 32. Because why *wouldn't* they mirror each other in something inconsequential?
βNow, to the folks asking for the density stats I'd like to say: first, thank you for supporting independent research β second, I'll have to disappoint you. I have no idea what that implies or how to make that happen. I'm not a math person :(
βAlso, and this is just my opinion, but I don't really see the need for that sort of thing (but I'm not a stat nerd /affectionate, so maybe I just don't get the hype). The graph above, to me, perfectly illustrates the evolution of Jon and Martin's "apology tendencies".
βAnywho, while I'd love to plunge even deeper into this particular research hole, I sadly do not have the time at the moment!
I would've loved to analyze what exactly these two apologize for, especially in S5. (Where they're on an even playing field, y'know? I feel like their "apology tendencies" are the most prevalent there). But alas.
βMaybe some other time. Or perhaps someone else is willing to pick up the mantle...
