Lumity doodle I did before we got canon girlfriends! I adore these two so much, I'm so happy we have increasingly more rep for all shades of queer! Fun fact is none of these colors were in my watercolors, I'm practicing mixing colors and I'm very happy with the results!

The reason I hate having people say "Oh you're so talented" is b/c it completely dismisses the level of effort and work that went into honing the skill.

Example:

Mom when I was little: No, you got the notes down but it's not MUSIC, and your art looks terrible, you'll starve as an artist just go into medicine.

Mom years later after I defied her and kept practicing both my art and music all while going into medicine: Wow! Look at how talented you are! You are so good at music and art! God bestowed such a blessing on you to have that talent, make sure you're thankful for [obligation] because that's an opportunity that God could have given to ANYONE but chose you. So talented.
