Well. It seems I forgot that people can be in straight relationships sooooooo when I saw a bunch of cute pictures of a guy and a girl I automatically thought "ooooh these are the cutest best friends" :) oops

I swear my heart is in pain, it really is. Not the pain caused by the blunt force or any physical object. Its the pain caused by words. Caused by lonliness. The kind tht doesn't go away. with medicine. They hurt me, they told me they didn't want me. They lied to me.

But-

I don't need them. If they were going to lie to me and tell me they didn't want me then I. Don't. Need. Them. My heart may be in pain, yes. However, it will get better. I will get better. I promise myself I will.

I can't wait for the future. I can't wait to have a girlfriend and live with her in our studio apartment high above the city. To sit there at 5 am with tea and watch the sun rise, only to end up staring at her the whole time. To fill our home with plants and art and adopt a dog to fill the rest of the empty space. To teach her how to cook and for her to teach me how to speak more softly. To explore the city together hand in hand, stopping at every store that catches our eye. To go home after a long day yet be nothing other than happy. To fall asleep knowing that there will be no days better than that until the day I put a ring on her finger. I can't wait.

Can you recommend any books that are essentially wlw rom-coms/ hallmark movies? I’m dying for a version of the city girl is stuck in a small town, instantly gets on the wrong side of the hot mechanic, they snark, they start to bond over something, is this a date? Oh no a secret or misunderstanding drove them apart, wise local clears it up, tearful reunion and love confessions trope.

I wish I could recommend something that exactly matches your description! It sounds excellent. Bad news: I don’t know an exact match, and I haven’t read a ton of rom-coms myself. Good news: there are lots of f/f rom-coms out there, and I can point you towards people who have read a lot more of them! I’ll start with my recommendations, which are just light reads with a central romance, though they might not exactly fit the Hallmark movie part:
