Playing with some of my order from @archonstudio Rampart. I personally think this piece would have worked better in @dungeonsandlasersofficial. I have a second one I am modding to have clear "glass" and a xenomorph inside. This also gave me a chance to try the Black 3.0. Had to do a video, since this thing is huge. I saw a picture of one of these trains, and I knew it was something my dwarves had to have. It's still a work in progress, as I add, fill, and retrofit, but there is enough there you can see what I am doing. Base is a power ranger dragon toy. All the large black, and clear green pieces are 3d printed. The darker green are castings done using blue, and green stuff. Grey are pieces I had laying around in my bitz box. Black and white strips are zip ties. And a whole lot glue. Eventually there will be cannons fitted to the sides, and back. I also plan to add a guy to the side, with an ax, because the classic joke. One of the things @archonstudio didn't do for their two sets of @dungeonsandlasersofficial, xeno eggs. These were the design that failed the first time, and is why I have a collection of mimics to paint now. Special thanks to @phi_remi who per usual humors me in my art projects. Still need to finish the face, but as an experiment, I am super happy with this. Its printed with an old roll of ABS I had laying around. My current printer doesn't have an enclosure, but obviously I was able to get past that hurtle. Almost done with my custom squad of hollowpeople. Built from different troops within the Iron Kingdom, as well as custom bits, than sculpted heads. Not fully happy with them, but you can see how much I learned as I progressed. Only the sergeant is a stock model. Went thrifting with the family, and found this lovely piece of vintage "weaponry." I wasn't allowed to have toy guns as a kid. That's why I don't have a G1 megatron. Maybe that is why my alter ego has so many pistols. Anyway, this thing spoke to me, and the price was cheap enough, I was willing to gamble on it. No idea if it still works, and its the second generation of the blaster, but for 2 bucks, its at the very least an amazing shell. Did a small test run before the stream, so we are not wastching paint dry. Also to answer a question, Someone asked about my thoughts on "killing" the Iron Giant. So here it is. One, while the bolt is recognizable from the Iron Giant's, which was why I used it, he is one of many of these robots, and so at some point my alter faced one. There is a dream sequence in the extended version where we see the army fighting on a different world. So at one point the RFE fought the Robot army. And at least the Baron took a keep sake. He usually does heads, but the head is several feet tall, and I have room for one large skull. Two, if it can reassemble, its out of the fight. So at least one of these robots is sidelined, or stuck hopping around. Ivy was nice enough to raid a barn for me. There were a few interesting things that came out of the trip, but these goodies were an awesome find. They were once supplied with the tools, and also available as an extra item you could pick up for storage.
