Much can happen in a fairly short amount of time when you commit to change. The picture on the left was 30 days into me deciding enough was enough! And one round into Insanity later (yes, I was crazy and desperate) and 2 months into P90X I had significant changes. Working out was just the beginning of the changes I made in my life, but it was where I started... My first step to a healthier me! I wrote this up yesterday and have it scheduled to go out this evening. This is one of my many "offices" I get to enjoy while I "work". I do this thing that's kind of a second job that's called coaching. And while it doesn't feel like work and there is so much fulfillment helping others, I actually get paid to do it. I do it because I love it. And success comes from doing what we love. So for me it's a win-win. I get to grow personally, become a better leader and have accountability in my own journey and I get to help others do the same. I always knew, though I didn't know what/how, that I wanted to run my own business. But I had no idea this would be it! A beautiful morning walk this morning with my best buddies!! ๐พ๐ผ๐ฟ๐พ๐ผ๐ฟ It was slow and I had to be careful they didn't knock me down, but I'll take any progress I can get!! ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ A few successes the last day or so are keeping me hopeful! ๐ช๐ผ๐๐ป Some of these seem silly, but after not walking properly and inability to bend my knees for almost 2 months I can now almost bend them past 90 degrees, sit up and down with limited use of my upper body and walk up stairs normal (down stairs is rough still). It's crazy how fast you lose the inability to use muscles when you couldn't use them. Time to rebuild! #throwbackthursday time! A little over 5 years I started to change what I put inside my body. It was a progression, I still get off track here or there, have planned "cheat meals", etc but as a whole the nutrients going into my body these last 5 years are much different than the 10 or 15 years prior. What we fuel our bodies with (or lack there of) impacts virtually every aspect of our bodies. I know I don't ever want to go back to "that place" I was 5+ years ago. I can't even began to explain the difference it has made in how I feel, look & in my health. Nutrition & figuring out what to eat can no doubt be a struggle.
