Been reading the Bible lately and why is god lowkey an asshole. Like why is he making people sacrifice so many sheep and animals. Also why did he punish all of Egypt cuz of one tyrannical pharaoh. Like I know some surrported that pharaoh but what about all the people who didn’t and just couldn’t do anything in fear of punishment cuz some low in power would surely get killed for going against their pharaoh. Why is he framed as being so loving but at the same time kills thousands of people with disease and floods. Also if he is against sin when not just get rid of it if he is all powerful, like I know free will and the such but there is so many he didn’t give free will to like I don’t think Mary ever had a choice to have a child so young like that stuff messes up your body especially at that age. Also if he is all powerful and doesn’t like satan, Lucifer, sin, demons, etc; then why did he make them. Also what is with people defending the whitewashafucation of so many people in the Bible including god. I’ve heard people say they just want someone like god to look like them so they can see themselves in him, but doing that just makes it so the people that do look like him don’t get to see someone who looks like them, and by whitewashing god and many other people in the Bible you are separating those people from white people even more making it so your kids learn that you can only connect to people that look like you. Of course I understand the want of seeing yourself in someone you idolize but there are so many others you can do that with that do look like you and you don’t have to change someone else so young feel more comfortable with idolizing them. You should be able to connect and love someone who doesn’t look like you cuz at the end of the day we are all living things and we should connect no matter how you look, who you love, what your gender is, where your from, how much money or privilege you have, etc.
