|| Every night that Odysseus felt like the world was getting the better of him, every night that he felt like the pressure of being king would crush him, every time his duties tormented him, he went to that courtyard in the palace, to that place that could be only his and someone else's.

Polites seemed to know that Odysseus was feeling bad just by looking at him, even hours before Odysseus himself knew it. During the Trojan War it was no different and every night they both left their tents and walked away from bodies and blood, where they could only feel each other's presence.

Polites could see the positive in everything, even in the worst situation, Odysseus was not able to do that and that is why he constantly needed that light that Polites meant in his life. The only time he heard him hesitate or doubt, think of some negative scenario, was with that question. "Do you think we will survive?" Odysseus was quick to respond, assuring that he would not let anything happen to his crew, his team, to him. It was a promise that had been decreed only with their glances before Odysseus confirmed it with words.

He would protect the light of his life no matter what he faced because he needed it, more than he thought and it was too late when, in due time, he held his cold body against his own, trying to give him warmth, trying to wake him up. It must have been a dream, a hallucination caused by the cold of that Cyclops' cave. For Odysseus, it was unreal to be holding the dead body of his best friend, Polites. His light was gone. ||

I wanted to try making a comic with a new brush I found for ibis, it looks like a crayon. I like it.

I couldn't resist making a fanart of this, I love the zombie AU that @bluboy404 created and I love imagining a Polites zombie being clingy, especially with Odysseus.
