Hello girls (n gays) (YES THIS IS THE DEFINITIVE INTRO FOR MY BLOG🪽)

I hope your day went well or will go well—it all depends on when you're reading this

Today I wanted you to get to know me even better, and I thought a FAQ would be nice, but we don’t have enough people for that yet ૮◞ ‸ ◟ ა, so I just looked up a few questions online to help you to get to know me

First, I wanted to give a brief introduction before answering the question

So, my name is Madison. I’m 16 years old. I live in France, but I’m Belgian and Croatian. I speak French fluently, and I’m learning English, which is why I might make some syntax mistakes, etc., from time to time. I was born on October 27, 2009, which makes me a Scorpio with Aquarius rising. I guess that’s the main thing you need to know.

- My Favorite color

I think it’s pink, i love pink very much but i love aquamarine blue its so mermaid coded i love it!

- My favorite day of the week

I think its Thursday because he is so fancy in French its like "Jeudi" I don't know how to explain why it sounds so good

- My favorite food

ITS SOOOO HARD! I can't answer that

But if I had to choose—it might sound pretty simple—I’d say my mom’s pasta Bolognese, because it brings back fond memories. But in terms of flavor, it was that pizza with fries that I must have eaten when I was little on vacation.

- My favorite drink

Well, this is the part where everyone makes fun of it, but… I’d say water. I know it’s the most boring answer ever, but that’s just how it is.

- Favorite ice cream flavor

Without a moment's hesitation, vanilla and pistachio in a cone ITS SOOO SWEET AND IM A SWEET TOOTH.

- Who do I want to be when I grow up?

I don't know if we're really talking about someone I'd like to be like or what I actually want to become, but I don't know—it's really complicated, so I'd rather not answer.

- Where would I like to live when I grow up?

I’d say a small apartment in a neighborhood not far from London—but not in London itself—with a rabbit and a dog, and maybe the person I love. That sounds nice.

- Do I have any brothers or sisters?

No, unfortunately, but I would have liked to have had a twin or an older sister

- Do I have any pets?

Yes, three dogs are hunting dogs—unfortunately, my dad is really into that “hobby”—but my dogs have some pretty strange names. I’m not sure if I should say them out loud, for fear of embarrassing them.

- Who is my best friend?

I’d say I have at least four best friends: Izia, Elsa, and Elena, but also Aby-Gaelle—though it’s a little different with her. Maybe I’ll explain it to you someday.

- My favorite subject

I’d say literature and history, but here’s something you should know about me: I really hate science, and I’m literally terrible at it.

- My favorite movie

I have four (my top Letterboxd picks, literally)

*Scream 4* because it has the best plot twist in my opinion, *The Virgin Suicides* because I’m just a girl, *Princess Mononoke*, and finally *Revenge* by Coralie Fergeat

- My favorite book

Before I answer, I should mention that I have serious trouble focusing, so I rarely finish books, but I’d say *Wuthering Heights* because I’m reading it right now and I’ve rarely enjoyed a book this much

- My favorite animal

It is and always will be, but when it comes to rabbits, I don't know why, but ever since I was little I've loved them—they're just so adorable (show me your rabbits.)

- My favorite place

My room with à handsome man or Stationery stores its sooo sooo cool (My money runs out every time )

- My favorite song

It's so hard that I'm just going to reuse the songs from my retrospective from last month

ᴍʏ ᴍᴜꜱᴛ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ꜰᴏʀ ᴛʜɪꜱ ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴇʀ!

Today's topic is a little more laid-back, but it's close to my heart and it's still really cool

1- A digital camera

So I can take nice photos of my memories from this summer, of myself, and of my girlfriends—I love taking and looking at photos

2- A precious oil with pearlescent particles or glitter inside

With this, my skin will glow on the beach or by the pool, making me look even more ethereal and sun-kissed—in short, I love anything that sparkles

3- A collection of shorts, each one cuter than the last

I love short shorts, like pajama shorts or the 2000s style—they feel great, they're comfortable, and they don't make you too hot in this awful weather.

4- An adorable swimsuit

I'd really like to wear a two-piece, but with my dysphoria, that might be tricky, so I'm hoping to find a cute little swimsuit that covers up my body a bit

5- 3 metric tons of bracelets

I love wearing lots of super loud and colorful bracelets—they're so fun and cute on my wrists.

6- An interesting book I can read in my free time

It's always nice to read a book with your feet in the water or enjoy a glass of iced tea while taking in a beautiful view. I'm thinking of reading *The Princess of Clèves* or some poetry.

7- Glitter

I want to put glitter everywhere—I love it when it literally sparkles all around me. It's so cool—I love it so much, with all the colors.

𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒚

𝑰𝒔 𝒃𝒂𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚

First of all, it is simply the cruelest and most inhumane punishment that can be inflicted on anyone.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment,” so the legalization of the death penalty directly conflicts with this universal right.

A state cannot prohibit killing if it does so itself and justifies it.

Furthermore, this punishment does not and will never prevent any crime. No studies prove the so-called deterrent effect of capital punishment; to cite an example, in Canada, the homicide rate has decreased since the abolition of the death penalty.

In my opinion, the death penalty simply represents a state that has given up in the face of crime.

Justice must be equal for everyone, regardless of the crime committed.

Next point:

Miscarriages of justice cannot be ruled out of the equation; once the death penalty is imposed, there is no turning back.

In the United States, nearly 200 death row inmates have ultimately been exonerated after evidence was presented.

False confessions and false accusations can therefore influence a person’s life.

Worse still, in some countries where the death penalty is in effect, those sentenced to death are not entitled to a strong defense or the right to appeal.

Finally, the death penalty—which is often arbitrary—is imposed on minorities.

For example, in the United States, Afro-Americans are disproportionately affected by this punishment; in Saudi Arabia, it primarily affects foreign workers. Through the death penalty, governments satisfy a populist thirst for revenge by staging public trials or mass executions, as in Iran, for example. Most executions do not punish violent crimes but are motivated solely by political reasons; the death penalty merely allows those in power to get rid of unpopular civilians. Thus, death sentences are handed down for homosexuality and transgender identity in Nigeria, for example, for drug-related offenses in Malaysia, or for tax evasion in China.

That is why, in my opinion, the death penalty is counterproductive, a violation of human rights, cruel, dangerous, and unjust—used solely to dominate a people with an iron fist. As of 2026, 55 countries around the world still practice it.

Today's topic is a bit more philosophical, because this subject is particularly close to my heart right now

You’ve probably found yourself, during a meal with your parents, discussing or debating topics related to the world—such as politics or history (or something else)—and perhaps, as the conversation went on, your parents became defensive even though you were simply stating facts that you had learned in class or on your own.

That’s how I realized that school and my personal learning have made me much smarter than some adults, because since I know my subjects, it’s impossible to throw me off balance or manipulate me into agreeing with you—I literally know what I’m talking about—whereas as an adult, people can rely much more on the fear you might feel when faced with topics you don’t understand at all

But this kind of discussion with your parents can also make them feel insecure, which is why they get defensive.

First of all, they feel insecure because they’re adults and are supposed to know better than us.

But they also feel insecure because they no longer understand the world around you.

I also think we’re better able to reflect on and analyze the world around us because we don’t really know the fear we might feel about work or even a lack of money (in my case)

Finally, I saw a clip on TikTok that seemed relevant to this post and this topic

"Teenagers know something kids don’t and adults forget"

To get to know yourself better, you can also reflect on your actions after spending time alone or with loved ones to see how you react to certain situations, such as stress or joy, and write them down so you can remember them.

Put what matters most—your mental health, inner peace, and spirituality—back at the center of your life

To do this, you can start by exploring spiritual aspects that interest you and appeal to you at first glance. It could be astrology, chakras, meditation—in short, you have a wide range of options

Once you’ve found something, you can study it, learn how it works, practice it, but above all, understand it—and perhaps the more you explore it, the more you’ll be able to appreciate other aspects.

The important thing is to feel good and happy.

Sorry for disappearing for a few days, but my life has been a bit chaotic lately. I’ll write a post to talk about all of that.

But today we absolutely have to talk about XLOV's comeback—I beg you, I have to talk about it

The Queen Mothers are back with their mini-album “I God” and a new MV for the song “Serve”!

(I’m thinking of analyzing the music video in a future post, by the way)

But first, I wanted to share my thoughts on each track on the album!

First Track : THE RULES’

What more could you ask for in an intro? It’s so rare to have instrumental intros in the world of K-Pop, so this really gets me hyped. The jazz sounds are a treat for the ears; the instruments are all perfectly recognizable, and the outfits are absolutely stunning. The red costumes suit them so well—you could compare them to a family of rich and powerful vampires—and I love this artistic direction.

Second Track : SERVE

I love this song—I actually think it’s my absolute favorite track by XLOV. The artistic direction is once again incredible; all the costume changes throughout the music video are a feast for the eyes, and each of their talents is showcased to perfection: Rui’s dancing, Hyun’s voice, Haru’s rap, and Wumuti’s versatility are all so well-established—it sticks in your head so easily—and THEN THEY SING IN FRENCH, PLEASE! It makes the vampire theme even more ingrained in the artistic direction. They look so sexy, and I’m so happy to see how much confidence they’re gaining with each comeback. GO LISTEN TO “SERVE”

Third Track : Extancy

This is also one of my favorites—it’s so good! It’s so queer, with those heavy techno beats that also remind me of the music used for voguing, which shows that it’s becoming more and more established in queer popular culture, and that’s awesome! I also really like the idea of them making music as a duo—I hope there will be more of that on future albums! And the choreography is so slaying

Fourth Track : BACK 2 BACK

It’s so different from what they’ve offered us so far, and honestly, it’s amazing to see just how versatile they are—just as their concepts suggest—and it’s really cool to see them so comfortable with both feminine and masculine concepts. Plus, the sound is so good, and Hyun’s voice—oh my gosh, I love it!

Fifth Track : HIPS

HARU'S VOICE OH MY GOD

I really love the Japanese vibe the influencers bring, especially the way they mention Pokémon—which I thought was pretty funny. The chorus is great, but unfortunately it’s way too repetitive, which is a shame because overall the track is really cool, and Hyun really adds something special too.

Last Track : Masterpiece

I really like this track too—I like the fact that we end on a very laid-back track that’s less complex than the others (in my opinion!) It gently brings the emotions from the beginning of the album back down, and I don’t know how to explain it, but the song really gives you a zest for life and makes me think of the sun—honestly, it’s so motivating. Their voices are incredible; if you’re in a bad mood, this song can really cheer you up.

Her content focuses mainly on lifestyle and personal development, and I think she’s one of the best creators in that field. She always speaks in a soft, soothing voice, so I highly recommend following her if you like gentle things and people.

It started out as a podcast, but personally, I think the video version is better. The setting is super relaxing, the topics they cover are always really interesting, and the two hosts, Chloé and Louise—who used to be best friends—complement each other perfectly. Plus, it’s one of the most “girl-friendly” channels in France. I recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like they’re hanging out with friends while watching a video.

Lilix’s content is very feminine and cute, but also soothing. It highlights the realities faced by women with endometriosis or other health issues. It’s deeply feminist and socially conscious, offering plenty of thoughtful explanations while always balancing them with a touch of tenderness. I recommend this channel to anyone interested in women’s experiences and heartwarming content.

He’s YouTube’s ray of sunshine—he’s adorable and has such a sunny personality, and it really lifts your spirits. Today I had planned to introduce you to my favorite content creators, but there’s been a slight change of plans due to the emotionally charged day I’ve had today—I wanted to share that with you

e're going to talk about feelings—and especially my love life. Yeah, it might seem trivial, but my feelings are so intense that it's really complicated.

Just to give you a little background, I have a crush on a boy in my class. I think he’s really amazing—he’s kind, outgoing, and really good-looking. He seems to have political views that align with mine, and I’m sure there are plenty of other things to say, but I guess I’ll save those for another time.

The problem? My friend and I noticed that he probably has a crush on a girl in my class too—someone we think isn’t me but one of our friends, despite the signs that I foolishly interpreted as usual when I have feelings for someone.

I saw him sit down next to her today, and honestly, it broke my heart a little

Another issue is that I’ve started developing strange feelings for one of my friends, and I can’t tell if what I’m feeling is romantic or purely friendly, or if I admire her, or if I’m jealous of her, or if I just have a platonic crush on her. It’s such a strange feeling—I’m so confused.

Today I saw her and she didn’t talk to me, and that made me a little sad. But when I found out she was flirting with a guy, it didn’t hurt me, so I don’t think I’ll try anything, even if it turns out to be romantic, because she likes guys.

I can't take it anymore. I'm feeling a little emotionally drained. It's just too much for me, and my heart is breaking. Plus, as someone who's been overthinking things since I was little, who struggles to manage these emotions, and who's always been seen as “too this” or “too that,” well, it's really complicated.

Today I wanted to start a little series on this blog that I think will be called “Educating Yourself About Your Consumption.” The goal of this series is to take a critical look at what I consume, and for this first episode, I thought I’d talk about unicorns! Because I’ve loved them since I was little, but I’ve never really looked into them, and it’s time to do!

According to legend, it may have originated from a Chinese mythological tale dating back to 2600 BCE, but it could also be traced to a Hindu legend: the Ekashringa legend, which features Vishnu, one of the three primary deities of the religion who represents protection and preservation. Thus, in the very beginning, the unicorn was a mythological creature that symbolized protection.

And according to some historians, unicorns may have been introduced to the West with the trade route to Asia, along with a legend that told how a young v*rg*n girl had helped a hunter track down a unicorn; this is how the unicorn came to be associated with “loving the scent of v*rg*n*ty.”

It is from this point on that interpretations begin to differ depending on the region of the world

In Asia: It is represented by a wild animal that, as I mentioned, symbolizes protection and preservation

In the West: It is also represented by a wild animal, but one that is very fierce—a symbol of purity and grace, drawn by the scent of v*rg*n*ty

Over time, the myth gained increasing prominence in the West, eventually becoming the most popular mythical creature in the Christian West from the Middle Ages to the end of the Renaissance, largely due to its presence in certain translations of the Bible

From the 13th to the 14th century, merchants from the north—presumably from the United Kingdom or Denmark—began to settle in parts of Greenland to trade in narwhals, specifically for their tusks, which they sold as unicorn horns. Starting in the 1600s, these tusks were imported into Central Europe.

Still, during the 13th century, a new legend began to gain traction: that of the black unicorn. From this point on, a new dichotomy emerged—that of the angelic white unicorn leading to paradise and the evil black unicorn leading to hell.

And in the 14th century, a new myth emerged—one that further reinforced the Christian view of the unicorn: the myth of the serpent, which obviously represents the devil, poisoning a river to kill all the animals that would drink from it. One day, a unicorn—surely representing Christ—dipped its horn into the water, and thanks to the divine power granted to it, it removed the poison from the water so that the animals could drink again

In the early 19th century, pharmacies began displaying logos shaped like unicorn horns, which is when we see just how popular the so-called medicinal properties of unicorns had become in the West

Finally, by the end of the 19th century, people began to collectively realize that unicorns were just legends and that their horns were actually narwhal tusks

At the end of the 20th century, its innocent, angelic image was exploited for commercial purposes to appeal to children

Many theologians and alchemists are deeply interested in this concept, as are many educated people, which has further fueled this belief. Many believed that it represented the duality of human existence—the tension between the divine and science—and wondered whether one should be given greater weight than the other.

To me, the unicorn is yet another example of the West’s and Christianity’s appropriation of a myth originating from other cultures and religions—a myth that has been stolen and completely stripped of its meaning for the pleasure of Western men hungry for money, domination, and power

But in a way, you can also draw a parallel between unicorns and women: on the surface, they seem angelic and defenseless, but deep down, they just need independence and can also be fierce and resolute. And the fact that both are hunted and killed by men—I find this parallel really interesting.
