"The Hangover Part 3" Movie Review
First there was Vegas. Then there was Bangkok. Now...back to Vegas! Yes, their back. Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug. Oh yeah, and Mr Chow too. Their drunken capers seem to have gotten them into a whole hell of trouble over the past two movies, but this film not only brings more mayhem, but also shows what disaster they left behind after their previous mishaps.
At the start of the film, Mr Chow breaks out of prison, stirring up a whirlwind with a mad man named Marshall. He' s the man that you steer well away from in a room full of people.
Little do they know, but the four have encountered doings of Marshall's before. They also brought Mr Chow into his life, wrecking it.
He now wants to find Chow and get his revenge. The four are told that they have 48 hours to find him, or else. Tracking down their old friend, proves to be a gruelling task, as he persistently evades them one way or another. Chow ends up living the high life in one of the swankiest hotels on the strip, partying all night long with hot girls.
This movie is a great third and final installment of the Hangover films. It lives up to it being mayhem, and in my eyes, is as amazing as the first film when it comes down to it. Now, I'm a filmmaker myself, so I know the struggles of trying to find good storylines once you have done the best already, and for me they did very well in that aspect. It kept going and kept interjecting humour along the way.
In my opinion, if you liked the other movies, you will love this. I'd say watch the film and see what you think once the last drink has been downed and the last second of the on screen antics is over.
In cinemas now

"A Haunted House" Movie Review
You may be thinking, "Oh great. Another parody of another scary movie". Well...essentiallt, yes. That is what it is, but it's a whole lot more than that. See, the way that they made this movie was different, as they kept with the Paranormal Activity feel with a lot of POV and handheld shots. This was to be expected though, as it was a parody. What made it different though was bringing in the comedy aspect of the genre, and nitpicking at things that we have seen previously in the original films and parodying them. For instance, the night scenes where the woman is seen getting out of bed and standing in the same spot, staring, for hours on end? They made it funny. When I saw the PA films, I kept thinking how funny it would be to see the woman dancing, and then lo and behold, this woman does!
From the very first shot of Marlon Wayans talking to camera, we see the usual comedy that comes with him and his brother in films.
I have to admit that although this film was a parody, it did have it's scary moments. To comedy it up again though, so it wasn't too much of a comedy horror, they interjected 'jump' moments that although normally would have been scary, Wayans magic happened again and made it funny. From passing wind, to gangsters with guns, from homosexual psychics to sexually active demons, this film is a hilarious mix of both comedy and horror.
Would I tell people to see this? Yes. If you want horror, but not bite your fingernails off kind of scary, then this is the movie for that.
You have to bear in mind that this is a parody though and isn't a full scare filled movie, but in some ways, It's better than the originals as it doesn't linger on, making you wait for something to happen. At least this film has comedy to fill that void.

"Man Of Steel" Movie Review
ļæ¼
Having not seen many of the Superman films, three now to be exact, I feel somewhat oblivious to the world of the superhero. Yes, I know that he works at the Daily Planet alongside Lois Lane and has some strange effect on people that stops them recognising him, just by taking a trip to Specsavers and buying some Brylcreem, but that is one of the biggest aspects of the hero, that I know about. I have watched Smallville and know of Lex Luthor too, but they donāt appear overly too much in this new film. There are, however, mentions of these two within the film. Smallville is seen on a watertower in one shot and Lex Luthor is mentioned on the side of a lorry, above a sign that says Smallville. They are just two tiny details in a whole film of explosions and heroism. So, the man of steel himself? He still looks the same, thank god. No one in the industry has decided to go for a light haired man or some other major change in the way he looks. The outfit is the same, the S shape more prominent than everā¦although we find out in this film what the S shape actually stands for, in case you didnāt already know. Taking up the story from the very beginning, we find out all the back stories that we never really saw before in the other Superman films. We see a better insight into the lives of the civilians on Krypton and we see our heroās parents up close and personal, finding out the emotions they experienced when sending their baby shooting off into the universe, hurtling towards Planet Earth with uncontrollable speed. The movie makers seem to have skipped the part of the story where we see the pod crash to the ground and startle the couple that take in the alien baby. Instead, we see the pod fly through space, crash landing into earth abruptly and then cutting just as abruptly to a fishermans boat in the middle of the ocean. The story then pans out that he saves some people, giving us the impression that he has figured out that he has powers and has honed them. We also see the man of steel discover a spaceship, hidden under 18,000 year old ice. Events happen and people get scared, before an unknown ship enters airspace, and creates panic of an impending attack. Superman becomes the weapon against the human race as he is asked to hand himself over to the ship in the sky. Superman and Lois fight against the villains and have to save the world, creating an epic adventure of awesome proportions. Overall, the visual effects, cinematography and scripting within this film are better than expected. By far, some of the best mixture of CGI, green screening and reality I have seen in a long while. If I were to give this film a 10/10? I would probably go for an 8, as I donāt often get sucked in to a storyline to a film like this or feel as enthralled with a lack of exhaustion from a movie in this genre.

All in all, Iād recommend this film as itās a great watch and really brings to life the story of Superman, from birth to his saving of the Earth for the very first time. It takes him a fair chunk of the screen time to save it, butā¦thatās what you get for being a superhero with a beard like a metal field of wires that seems to be easily shaven with an ordinary razor, as in one scene he is going for the scruffy look and the next, he has a face as smooth as the surface of a bowling ball.

Instagram's New Video Feature Vs Vine
Has Instagram tried taking the limelight from Vine?
ļæ¼
In case you guys arenāt familiar, there is an app out there in the vast world of media called āVineā. The app allows you to capture 6 seconds of video, also allowing you to pause and record throughout the process, whenever you want to. Well, now, the popular photo sharing app, Instagram, has decided to jump on the band wagon and create a video capturing feature within their interface. Unfortunately though, they donāt seem to have thought it through very well, as although they allow you to capture 15 seconds of footage, alongside Instagrams 6, there a ton of glitches. One of which I encountered after trying out the new update. For me, I record my video, and let go of the record button, causing the app to glitch and say I need to record a video. Many other users have had the same issue and have started complaining to the app makers themselves. Hopefully they fix this problem, as people will be keen to use this feature in place of Vine. I, myself, may use the feature, as it will be inregrated into my Instagram feed. I will still use Vine though, on the other hand, due to itās functions being simple and yet effective.
So, as far as the new update is concerned, it isnāt much use to anyone at this moment in time. Maybe Vine will try to conquer the new update, before itās bug fix, and start allowing users to create 10-15 second videos.

Instagram Video Function: BUG FIXED?
So, yesterday, I posted that Instagram's new video feature seemed to have some bugs. No, not the creepy crawley types you find at the end of your garden, but the type that caused that phone you owned to crash like hell back in 2011. This morning I awoke, went downstairs and poured myself a coffee. After a while, my thoughts led to Vine. I thought, "I'll make a video", which I did. Then, once I'd posted it, I remembered about the glitch on Instagram, and so proceeded to recreate the video I had just made, but on the other app. Once I'd filmed it, I noticed that unlike the attempt the day before, I now had a working arrow button on the top right of the screen, which allowed me to add effects and then post the video. Seeing as the video was pointless to make another version of, I backed up and exited. Although I didn't post the video though, it goes to show that the wonderful people at Instagram, do fix their bug issues and do it promptly. - Martyn Tallon
