This was one of the last sunsets I saw with my Dad while we were fishing. Over the winter his battle with cancer worsened but he held on until after I finished university in the spring. It was always his fondest wish to see me graduate. He would pass away 2 weeks before my grad ceremony and one week before my birthday. It's always a mix of bittersweet memories when I look back through the pictures I have with him.
I always hesitated to take pictures or be in them because I had gained so much weight during my undergrad. Now all I wish is that we had taken more.
My only advice for folks is to spend time with those you love. Make time. Take the pictures! Regardless of how you feel you may look. Because once someone is gone, you won't even notice the weight or how you looked, you'll notice how happy you were together.
