Can you describe a Witch of Doom?
In terms of raw combat power, probably one of the most destructive classes you could name, with none of the side casualties you might expect from a heavy hitter on that scale. The weapon/magic/etc used would likely vary by the person, but whatever it is, it hits hard. We're talking OHKO shit with no friendly fire.
The flip side being that total control over when and how something ends/the literal or metaphysical boundary lines, means you can likely expect this person to be their own worst enemy. They devise the very constraints that bound them. Getting caught up in their own concerns, overloaded by too much data, decision fatigued or anxiety paralyzed, etc.
Let's imagine three players facing an unbreakable wall. A Hope player, a Void player, and the Witch of Doom.
The hope player's certainty in themself, their team, their weapon, etc allows them to achieve the impossible and break the wall.
The void player inverts the nature of reality around them in such a way as to render the wall breakable.
The Witch of Doom rewrites reality such that the wall was always breakable, and moreso, was destined to be broken by them.
Do you still give opinions on sessions?
I suppose I can try. I'm not sure what you'd be looking for beyond "this seems like it is probably well balanced" or not?
What classpect would you say I am? I like gathering a bunch of opinions on this, so I'd like to see. I'm an INFP, though I don't personally put much stock into MBTI types; I've noticed their "introverted" definition is just "you avoid large groups of people" without looking at the reason. I like being with people, I just struggle to be in places where people are. I've received 6w5 and 9w8 equally when taking the enneagram, and I've never been sure which descriptor is more accurate. I like drawing. Since it'll probably help, it's mostly the act of drawing that I prefer, though I do like my end result. I try to clean up my areas, but it often takes too much space for too much time to clean it than to leave it as is, so it doesn't happen as often as I'd like. The few moon quizzes that exist tend to type me as Prospit. I've previously been typed as three different classes (two passive, one active, with the active one as the most common) and four aspects (a pair of which are opposites; one of the pair is from the official quiz, and one outside the pair is the most common).
Well, I'm afraid I cannot speak to your other results, but my first, immediate response is to look at Void as an aspect. Void players are particularly associated with "creation for its own sake," in a way that Light players tend not to, being more focused on the end goal rather than the act of creating something from nothing. Void also tends to pair well with the [FP] in INFP.
With Void in mind, I'm brought to two different conclusions. The first is that by collecting and comparing a large number of results to analyse your way to an ideal fit, we're probably looking at a more tactical, less combat focused class.
The second is that 6w5 and 9w8 are surprisingly similar personality types when brought to their basest outlines, both highly concerned with finding the right order for the world to be in, not out of a sense of control, but out of a desire for the relief and ease that 'every place a thing, every thing in its place' can bring.
All that in mind, I think "Mage of Void" would fit well with what you've described so far. Especially with the difficulty you've had in actually pinning down even a rough sense of your place in the overall classpect system.
I hope this was helpful, or at least didn't muddy the water too much!!
ok i think im done now
Luz Noceda - Thief of Light (Vriska)
For your consideration:
Name is literally "Light" (light)
Only has magic by "taking" it from a Titan via glyphs (thief)
God tiered when she died (homestuck)
I honestly don't think I need to defend this stance further.
Greetings! What classpect would you assign an INFJ with an enneagram of 6w5? I'm quite curious!
Everything about this combination's focus on interpersonal relationships and the ever-changing self says "blood aspect" to me.
I think particularly given the strong tendency to fear "losing oneself" makes a strong case for Mage of Blood, a title focused on understanding and manipulating ones aspect in perhaps heavy handed but always careful ways.
If it's not too much trouble, what classpect would you assign an INFP 9w1? Also, it's really nice to see people still doing classpects, even after all these years! :D
I think Seer of Blood would fit the optimistic, careful, and empathetic traits seen in both INFP and 9w1. Blood aspect also ties into the fear of abandonment or isolation common with these personalities.
Hi there! I'm trying to figure out my classpect. I'm an INFJ and 5w4. I saw someone else ask a similar question to mine and I really enjoyed reading your response. I hope you can help me out :)
I think this combination would fit well with a Mage of Light or Rage. The comparatively active yet isolating behaviour of mages suits the highly introverted, emotionally and intellectually overstimulated nature 5w4s are known for.
As for the aspects, I mentioned in my last post that INFJ is a fairly big-picture, justice driven class.
If you consider your personal motivation for improving society to be Sheer Fucking Spite then go Rage. If you instead are fuelled by a cool tempered intellectualism, Light. In both cases, keep up the good work!
Hi! I was just wondering what the godtier title for an INFJ 9w8 might be if its not too much trouble.
9w8 screams Heart Player With Concerning Stress Issues. The strong focus on peacekeeping, internal emotional balance, and dissociation as coping are Very Heart.
INFJ meanwhile is a very active personality type. Concerned with righting injustice and broadly imporiving society by any means necessary.
I'm sorry to have to diagnose you with Dirk Strider, but I think a Prince of Heart is a pretty natural fit.
(he/him) Hey! I'm an INFP-T, trying to figure out my classpect. I'm 90% sure i'm Hope but I don't know. However, class is where i'm most confused. Any advice?
Hope you're okay with a *checks notes* three year turnaround time on this.
I think it can be helpful when self-assigning to think of your Aspect as the type of struggle you are accustomed to overcoming, and your class as the way in which you overcome said difficulties.
So, for example, knights habitually operate on trained reflex to small, rapid events. Meanwhile, seers are... not planners, exactly, but rather, are confident in their skills regardless of planning. A witch simply attacks issues headon, and a sylph tends to surround themself with experts they can rely on while maintaining only narrow expertise in themself.
With an aspect like hope, you might ask yourself "how do I respond to the inconceivable horrors" but if you've never faced the horrors (let us all hope you have been so lucky!!) this is not necessarily actionable as a question. We all think both too highly and too lowly of ourselves when imagining crisis.
An INFP-T of Hope is probably a relatively passive class with a relatively low raw combat power. Sylph and Rogue both come to mind.
So! I hope that helped, even if it's not very direct.
Remember at midnight when I was like "Mmmhmm yes magical girls very good then"?
Well, strap in we're doing more of that shit.
I apologize to anyone who has a massive fight or flight reaction to the Fate franchise, but they have a magical girl spinoff and I am in love with it SO!!!!
Illya von Einzbern (Child): Page of Blood
You know, it occurs to me that Homestuck is a creation myth about gods who give birth to themselves, and Illya is the ONLY one of there grail children that can't be said to have done so. Amazing. What a terrible little creature she is. I adore her endlessly.
Anyway, Illya has many charming character traits, but her absolute adoration for her friends and family are top of the list, right next to her immense cowardice. The self-conflicted Page of Blood title is a natural fit not only for her immense, world shaking love of Miyu, Chloe and Shiro, nor her literally being a source of life fuel for Chloe, both of which are very Blood behaviours.
She's also just pitiful, absolutely the saddest baby, until she busts out these insane growth curves. Classic pagery.
Chloe von Einzbern: Prince of Rage
Speaking of Gods Who Give Birth To Themselves...
This is a really basic read that I don't think needs much justifications. Chloe appears during impossible situations to break barriers and let Illya achieve her goals.
Mostly by way of overwhelming destructive force.
Miyu Edelfelt: Bard of Light.
Miyu is also a self manifested god, amazing, what is even happening with these magic cups?? Why do they want so badly to be Real Girls??
Anyway, Miyu is a Bard of Light because she is a channel for ultimate destruction forced into an inconsolately passive role, and worst of all the force is literally just "other people getting constantly really lucky." I mean, damn, girl lost the lottery at birth. Oof.
Bonus the main timeline: adult!Illya is a Bard of Light too; I think being a grail kinda does that to you. Shiro is the Heir of Space because literally there were 3 anime about him inheriting othes people's space powers come on. Rin is a Thief of Heart and a damned good one at that. Sakura simply deserves not to have to play SGAME let the poor child have a break mein Gott (Witch of Void). Saber is a fucking sprite obviously.
These are my opinions not statements of fact. I am always interested in hearing your opinions too.
Happy 4/13, suckers, I've been mainlining Magical Girls and have an all new collection of psych meds. You know what time it is!
Symphogear Time!!!!
Tachibana Hibiki: Bard of Void
I knew I would have to limit Hibiki to the Void aspect since she specializes in unarmed combat. This was particularly tricky given her overwhelming association with Light, but luckily there are inversion prone classes to work with.
Bard was an ideal fit for someone whose goal of bringing the world together to a place of mutual understanding is so fundamentally at odds with her skill set as a combatant.
Ultimately, Hibiki is at her strongest when she is at her most passive: not fighting, but beseeching. Reaching out with an open fist to every villain and god she encounters, and in so doing insuring the total destruction of their plans.
The whole "haha she sings the song of the apocalypse because she's a bard" thing was a nice bonus!
Kazanari Tsubasa: Rogue of Blood
Ah, the lush irony of Tsubasa and blood. Despite her constant rejection of the constraints of her bloodline, there is no denying that Tsubasa has internalized the ideals of her family and pursues them with relentless fury. If Blood as an aspect represents the indelible effects that the people around us have on our lives and selves, well. Tsubasa certainly captures the complicated pain and glory of that.
However, the thing that truly makes her a rogue of blood, in my opinion, is the way she interacts with other people's family trauma. Consistently, she has the capacity to take on other people's fear of vulnerability and intimacy, cracking through their walls to allow those deeper bonds to form. Breaking in, but never stealing.
Add to that her association with Breath/Flight/Wings, and Rogue looks even more appealing for its ability to interact with an aspect to the point of its own opposite.
Yukine Chris: Prince of Life
Bang bang big gun go shooty pow boom.
I mean, there are legitimate reasons too, but this one is pretty straight forward. Chris is a very rich character, but uhhhhh. Not a super deep one.
In more serious terms, Chris is very much defined by her relationship to death. She is a killer, yes, but she doesn't want to be. The immense value she places on life, whether her own or others' suggests that she is not a Doom player, but a Life one.
Her willingness to sacrifice her own life to achieve the Biggest Bang also comes to mind. Whether she is using her life as a weapon, or using her weapons to protect lives, she's very much a Weapon of Life. And thus, a Prince of it too.
Maria Cadenzavna Eve: Seer of Hope
I feel like this is another relatively self-evident one. Maria always sees the best in people, even in her abusers. Whether it's the brain maze for the Linker recipe, or pretending to be Finé, Maria always sees the possibility for success.
Where light is the best possible turnout, hope is the impossible made manifest.
Also, her weapon is not designed for direct combat, but rather for redirection of immense amounts of energy. That screams "hopey bullshit" to me, as well as being a more passive style of combat overall.
Akatsuki Kirika: Knight of Mind
Okay, so, the underlying logic here basically comes down to "beep boop this bitch gay." Can you believe they legit named her 'eclipsed sunlight reflecting off the moon'? I love how obnoxious the names in this show are.
That in mind, why not heart? I actually waffled on this one a lot. Heart seems so obvious for the genki girl desperately in love with the moon. Right? But...
The thing is,
Tsukuyomi Shirabe: Maid of Heart
Drafty draft moon bunny boing boing
Girl has 0 impulse control. I almost said 0 chill but that's not true. If anything she has too much chill. She is so unhingedly chill about following all her most insane and self-destructive impulses. Every heart player ever does this, whether it's Dirk's beheading or Nepeta confronting Gamzee.
Bonus: Fraymotif (Light and Heart): Total Eclipse. If you're thinking this has IMMENSE deja vu, it's because I've definitely covered this before, here.
Anyway, imagine a cool fun total eclipse of the heart reference here
More personalized than Collective Effervescence, Total Eclipse is a pretty simple 1-to-1 translation of Kirika and Shirabe's various duet superpowers. I imagine it would functionally involve Kirika identifying strategic decision their enemy could make in her own and Shirabe's favour, and Shirabe forces the enemy into an emotional state conducive to making those bad choices. Like I said, it's basically 1-to-1 with how their duets function.
Kohinata Miku: Lord of Space
I have not watched Season 5, but if Miku doesn't get back her Symphogear by the end of it, I will be BURNING SOCIETY TO THE GROUND.
Anyway, as the Great Unmaker whose power was so immense that she unmade the concept of Original Sin, I think we can go ahead and give her a master title.
And when it comes to "able to destroy anything, anywhere, right down to the very concept of it" well. That's gotta be space.
Elfnein: Muse of Time.
This one was so easy that I kind of feel like it must be wrong. Too easy!
But I mean, she's literally the most passive person in the show, whose primary skill set is in giving other people enough time. That's muse of time behaviours!!
ETA: I've now watched enough of S5 to get to That Part now, and I'm more sure than ever. Even in the moment of utmost need, Elfnein's special ability is to summon previously killed allies for a cameo fight. I cannot think of anything more "too passive to live, too powerful to die."
--
These are my opinions, not declarations of fact. I am always interested in hearing your opinions in turn.
--
Bonus round: Genjuro ends up in Hibiki's sprite after being killed by SGAME. Tsubasa's cool politician dad voluntarily puts himself in Tsubasa's sprite to act as an ally to the kids. Ogawa is unkillable, Gamzee style, and this is never addressed.
Whatâs up, long time no see.
Iâm probably not re-opening this blog (but shitâs wild out here these days, so who knows).
What I am doing, however, is giving you all my magnum opus:
Homestuck Aspects, But Fucky.
Are you sick of Aspect quizzes where the answer is weirdly self-evident and you feel a terrible compulsion to âaimâ for you âpreferredâ aspect?
Well, motherfucker, have I got the quiz for you. Every single one of these âquestionsâ is nonsense, every single answer is absurdity, and every single person I tested it on got the right aspect at the end.*
*My sample size was three people this is a meaningless claim.
Take the quiz at your leisure, and then when youâre done and remembering the Ancient Days of Quizilla where you got to see what all the personality types were at the end after getting yours?
Head on back to this post, where I am putting all 12 answers below this cut.

If you run across any bugs or errors, let us know in the sortinghatchats ask box. If the whole thing just jumps to the top of the page and⊠shakes⊠that is a known bug and weâre not sure why itâs happening. But it doesnât happen very often! (I think itâs to do with the hosting site?)
We had a blast making this quiz, coming up with wording and questions, and testing the paths people can take through the quiz content. We even made some new friends along the way!Â
We hope you have as much fun with it as we did. We think this is one of the culminations of our system, especially in terms of making it more accessible for newcomers. Enjoy.Â
How do you recommend finding your God Tier?
Well, what I usually suggest people do is just have people describe themselves (or get a friend to describe them) within the confines of no more than 1000 characters (2 asks). This limitations usually forces people to select their most prominent traits and really condense themselves down not just into their essential selves, but their essential ideals.
However, obviously, I donât do that so much anymore, because Iâve got untreated narcolepsy and a strong urge to murder anything that infinges on my extremely limited time and energy.
So, while youâre welcome to send in such a self-description and see how I feel that day, hereâs some steps to take when you donât have a convenient god tier theorist on hand!
Get your group chat (if you have one) or your nearest batch of friends to each volunteer a single word or phrase to describe you, then compare that set of phrases to the aspects. This is because your friends will often see the best in you, and your aspect is your idealization. If you have a positive relationship with your family, ask them too! If not, skip your family for the time being.
Next, take all your greatest anxieties: about you future, about yourself, about the world, and try to categorize them down to a similar number of words or phrases. Compare those to the classes, because your class is how you interact with your aspect, and your anxieties will tell you how you interact with your best possible self.
Finally, you need to ask yourself probably the hardest question: do you believe, genuinely, honestly, in the quiet of isolation. Do you really believe that the actions you take--not the forces outside your control, (money, health, etc), but the things you can control--are more or less good for you. Not perfect, not the best. But good enough.
Not good as some moral ideal, either, but good for you. Beneficial to you.Â
Or, do you think you may be self-destructing?
If youâre doing Well Enough, then the classpect pair you already had will do just fine.
If you think, however, that you might need an intervention to get you on a better path, try inverting the title and see if that feels more comfortable, more like a set of goals and constraints you feel you could work within.
And then, after all that self analysis and all that hard thinking, take a damn break. Thatâs a lot of hardcore self analysis to go through for the sake of some fandom shit. If youâve had any major epiphanies, theyâll still be just a relevant the next day, so instead acting on them, have a snack and maybe reblog some cool aesthetic posts about your new title.
Oh, and here are my one word title lists, though there are plenty of others out there. This is just to get you started.
