I'm glad we got Dark Agartha. I'm bummed that it was only a stage for timed challenge runs, and the mission turn-ins (for the Lumies at least) seemed designed to tell us "don't expect this to have any further plot relevance", but it's still cool and beautiful and harrowing
Your Metroid art often features what looks like some kind of triangle or square based text, are you using a premade script or did you make it yourself? Either way it looks really good!
It's premade, not by me, based on text appearing in some of the games.
I believe most fans differentiate them as Thoha/Mawkin text, or at least Zebes/ZDR - for my design project I thought it would be interesting if it's more specifically the distinction between Scientist/Warrior. Hence you might see the Warrior text in some places in Thoha territory from their earlier days, such as the temple at the top of Chozodia.

[Commissioned by @wannabedemonlord. I had avoided the namahage for a while, as it’s less a monster than a folk custom, and how to give statistics to it eluded me for a while. @wannabedemonlord‘s concept for it as the Scared Straight Kami was fantastic.]
Kami, Namahage
CR 7 CG Outsider (native)
This savage-looking humanoid has a colorful tusked face and a pair of short horns growing from its brow. It wears a straw raincoat and carries an enormous knife.
Although they are sometimes mistaken for oni, the fearsome namahage are in fact benevolent guardian spirits. They use their powers and fearsome mien to frighten people, particularly children, away from lives of crime and protecting them from wandering into dangerous locations or into the clutches of urban monsters. Some communities use the namahage as a bogeyman, and the namahage are fine playing this role. These villages celebrate the New Year by having people in namahage costume roam from house to house and threaten children who behave poorly, and occasionally a genuine namahage will join these festivals. Real namahage care less about proper behavior and social norms, however, than they do about saving lives. Some dungeons are guarded by a namahage as their first line of defense, keeping wandering monsters in and adventurous souls who could get in over their heads out—proving to a namahage’s satisfaction that a group of explorers is tough enough to face the dangers within may well be their first challenge.
In combat, a namahage relies on bluster and intimidation to weaken and scatter foes. They rarely fight to deal lethal damage, preferring to knock opponents out and move them to a safer location if they cannot be persuaded or induced to flee. Creatures frightened by a namahage are under a magical protection for as long as the fear lasts, preventing hidden enemies from taking advantage of their distress. If an opponent is knocked out, the namahage will use its mark of justice ability to act as a permanent reminder to avoid that area. Only against an irredeemably evil opponent, such as the undead or an oni, will they fight to kill.
There’s so much about this. The tumble itself is so irredeemably funny. The child stops asking for food and just stares in silence as the adult completely beefs it. The adult, absolutely ashamed, wandering off screen, refusing to make eye contact with the baby.

These are the sketches so far, and once I'm done painting them I'll work on more characters. Then from there I'll likely get a preorder list going to help me get out the door. This will also come with some hollowknight/silksong charms I had finished.

In repayment, Jasper has made you aware of a secret entrance to his Labyrinth beneath Griffith Park. Provided that you do not mar, harm, or remove any of its contents, you are allowed access to this strange and mysterious location. Rescue service is not included, should you become lost or trapped within the maze.

It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time
“Someone does something that puts them, or the people around them in a bad or unpleasant situation. Hindsight reveals that although they had good intentions, their actions were not in their best interests. If questioned about why they did it, they'll often respond with the reason for everything that has ever been done by anyone at any time and any place: ‘It seemed like a good idea at the time!’”
A common trope for badly planned adventures.
Even Evil Has Loved Ones
“Being evil doesn't always mean hatred and negativity 24/7. Even evil characters (and real people) can find someone to love. Often, that love is twisted, a cause for villainy, or an act, but sometimes a work can show an evil character's love is genuine and deep. This serves to humanize the character, to give the hero doubts about fighting them, or to provide a weakness for the hero to exploit. At an extreme end, it can provoke Mama Bear or Papa Wolf reactions if they are threatened (or turning into a Tragic Monster at worst), or prompt the loved ones to Avenge The Villain. It also marks the villain as hypocritical and shows their twisted worldview by treating everyone else as insects but excluding the few ones they have feelings of affection for. Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas, Villainous Parental Instinct, and Unholy Matrimony are subtropes.”

Cool Shades
“Wearing dark glasses or mirrorshades is long-standing visual shorthand for badassitude. The act of putting them on means that it's time to kick ass, take names or do both. The act of taking them off is a sign that somebody's about to get scrutinised by the badass, usually just prior to an asskicking.”
Eg: Strauss, Nelli G, or Chaz.
Accidental Murder
“Accidental Murder occurs when a situation that wasn't intended to be lethal ends with the death of someone anyway. Occasionally, this happens because a fight just goes too far (Bob and Alice start fighting, and the fight gets more heated than anyone expects, and Alice ends up braining Bob with a heavy object or accidentally knocking him onto something sharp... and she doesn't realize he's dead until it's over). Other times, this happens when innocent bystanders are caught up in someone else's fight and are dead before anyone else realizes they are there (Bob and Alice are fighting; Carol, a friend to both, tries to break it up and gets accidentally shot while Bob and Alice are wrestling for a gun). And sometimes there's no fighting involved at all; the person who dies is killed because the unintentional killer does something stupid.
Either way, it's simply bad luck for the dead guy, and for his killer. No one was meant to die, but someone died anyway.”

I Hate You, Vampire Dad
A vampire embraces another as an act of love, but the new vampire hates their sire post-embrace, and blames them for everything terrible that has happened to them since. This can happen even if the young vampire wants to be embraced, and then regrets it later. It more often happens if the young vampire was embraced to save them from the True Death.
“Maybe the change made the loved one (new vampire) into someone, or some thing that the sire no longer recognizes or loves. Maybe the loved one can't handle the stress of being a vampire, or once fully immersed in the life realizes their sire lied about not being Blessed with Suck, and if the loved one is a biological child of theirs, they'll never grow up.”

Elaborate Underground Base
To maintain Plausible Deniability and hide from magical TV Spy Satellites, any sufficiently powerful or advanced covert organization of heroes, villains, conspirators, or military personnel needs an Elaborate Underground Base to use as their headquarters... And it's a good location for a Supervillain Lair.”
Any large, underground vampire haven. Consider, from LA by Night, the Nosferatu Warrens or the Labyrinth.
Screw the Rules, I’m Beautiful!
“A conventionally attractive character gets away with morally ambiguous things, despite how similar actions usually get questioned when committed by characters that are considered ugly. The attractive character is almost always forgiven or doesn’t even get called out for their questionable choices from within the plot. Sometimes, their actions even get painted in a good light, and the plot rewards them for them. Meanwhile, the ugly character gets shamed and villainized for doing similar things.”
Not just for Toreador! Any character with the “Beautiful” or “Stunning” advantage will likely use this trope.
