New pinned promo for 2022 (main blog edition)!

My name is Goldie/Scim (like ‘scimitar’) and I’m a 24 yr old Artist, Animator, and Writer! I’m also an Indie Game Dev, working in Ren’Py for Visual Novel games, and RPG Maker/Smile Game Builder/Unity for, well, RPG games!

🌺 My current game project as of this posting is a fantasy themed RPG game. My previous project, a fantasy visual novel can be found HERE on Steam!

✨ As for art projects, I wish to start a short story-turned-comic on Webtoon to prepare me for a long-form Legend of Zelda comic that originally started as a Zelda/Shadow of the Colossus crossover.

🌺 Finally, my current writing project is working on my Skyward Sword fic that is connected to the aforementioned Zelda comic, and my Crossover AU fic that is made up of at least 5 pieces of media set in a fantasy-themed universe.

✨ My main interests as of this posting are: the Legend of Zelda series, Final Fantasy series, Monster Hunter series, Dragon’s Dogma and Genshin Impact.

HELLO ALL!

If you didn't know/weren't aware, my blog was terminated suddenly at the start/middle of September, and only when I was checking my emails for something else did I see this blog had been restored yesterday on 31st October.

I have swapped the urls of my new blog and this one as having GoldieClaws without the hyphen is my brand and I was determined to keep it that way. No clue what made Staff have a change of heart as they refused to help me despite proof this is/was my account, but I'm just happy I have this blog back so I can use it now as an art/reference archive.

I will not be using this blog anymore (aside from the aforementioned art I have drawn and references I have accumulated over 5-ish years of blogging) as I have grown very comfortable on my new one, having long since accepted the forced fresh start.

This artbook details notes on character designs; backgrounds; and extra content such as scrapped characters; and original notes for certain scenes for P R I S M - A Visual Novel. Said artbook has 40+ pages worth of content to read through and enjoy.

an art i made 10 days ago got reposted to Instagram a few days later.

the notes i got? ~300 on Tumblr, ~200 on Twitter. and it’s one of my more popular arts.

the notes the repost has? ~15.000 and still growing a few hundred every hour. traffic, likes, comments, interaction, recognition, praise, all of it going to a person who, with one click, stole something i spent hours making and years learning.

you wonder why artists quit fandom? this. this is why.

Important for artists: learn where to find and how to use social media copyright report forms!

Reposters very often do not give a damn if you ask them nicely to take down your art (I have had people argue with me, beg me to just let them keep “this one”, and block me without answering at all). If you have links to your own work and the infringing one, social media like instagram, facebook, tiktok, and yes tumblr too, have places to report stolen work. 9/10 times I’ve been successful in getting these posts taken down—it is absolutely worth the hassle imo!
