This special is from a scene much further in the LU comic. It felt like a fitting way to reflect on the journey that started it all. What an impression it left, as we still feel that sense of adventure all these years later.

I’m gonna have to be away from here for a while. More things being discovered through scans, mom had a stroke sometime after that surgery. I’m just a ball of anxiety currently and losing sleep.

Someone in my mom's workplace publicly exposed what happened to her to all her coworkers. I'm fuming. That was private and someone illegally just aired her medical info right then and there. I'm mad.

Mom’s surgery went fine. The other mass in her brain is gonna be treated with chemo therapy. The docs/surgeons rechecked her scans and did discover nodes on her lungs and breast but it’s not certain if they’re cancerous but they could be treated via chemo too. Everyone is now just waiting for her to wake up, she does react and hear but she hasn’t thoroughly woken up yet.
