You successfully give him uppies!! He weighs the same as an orange.
âââââââââââ
ÂĄLograste alzarlo en brazos! Pesa lo mismo que una naranja.
Iâve gotten into The Binding of Isaac and itâs such a cool game, if sad. (The true ending of Repentance makes me tear up) The art and music are also amazing.
But I think the rougelike gameplay and art, is inspiring me for part of the Mage Chloe au.
Part way through the au Chloe dies at Felixâs hands. Sheâs brought back by Adrien. But she doesnât really process the event until a few weeks later. Unlike Adrien and Felix who processed it. She only realises the implications of her death after fighting a corrupted mage who canât die. As well as most animals now fleeing from her.
So I think itâll be cool for her to explore a Binding of Isaac style labyrinth, to fully process her death/revival. Iâm thinking of Chloe fighting her different akumas, Antibug and Queen Wasp. While the au is set right after S2, Chloe accidentally gets in the burrow and sees other timeline akumas of herself. So Iâll include Miracle Queen, Queen Banana, Penalteam, Queen Mayor and Queen of the Dreadzone.
Then at the labyrinthâs end, she comes face to face with herself in the glass coffin, and accepts what happened. Sheâll even get a new blessed object from it.
i like when a piece of media says that an all-powerful character "sees humans as insects" because that really could mean a lot of things. maybe they view us as insignifigant and will squish us under their boot. maybe theyre actually studying and cataloguing us for their thesis paper. maybe theyre campaigning for human protection because we're an important part of their ecosystem. maybe they see a human and go "ew ew ewwwwww someone get the cup and get that FREAK out of my house." .
THIS IS AN OC CHECKPOINT
give me 1 cool fact about your oc RIGHT NOW
UPDATE it doesn't even have to be 'cool', give me a fact about ur oc!!!!
she loves her step daughter.
hi hi hi, i love love LOVE your work, especially your liladrien ones and also your portrayal of rich life (?) idk how to explain it, but like. you write chloĂš, adrien and lila in such a way that im in love w them, and theyâre such brats but i love them for it even more. iâm also a fan of how critical you are of marinette!!! (ive reread bluebell eyes so many times omg). thatâs not to say i donât like your adrienette stories!!! i liked miraculous academy de la francouis dupont, and princess charm school so so SO much as well, i just prefer lilaidrien!!
i have two questions: (a) what are your favourite fics in the MLB community, and (b) could we have a peek into what youâre currently writing??
Hello~ đ
The ârich lifeâ may be better described as high society. I mean, Miraculous loves to talk about art and the finer things in life, so I figured I might as well do their vision justice and introduce them to haute couture, jet-setting, and diamonds. And, realistically, a teen supermodel, the daughter of the Mayor of Paris, the glove-trotting accessory to an Italian ambassador must be a spoiled if cultured bunch. Adrien is definitely the sweet grape of the group, ChloĂ© and Lila are sour. Ambitious women who know what they want are vicious. Â
Marinette is such a cute girl and extremely intriguing, itâs just a complete shame that canon refuses to acknowledge how truly pathetic and unbecoming she is, sometimes. Iâm not condescending her for that, I think itâs good for a protagonist to have such obivious and unaesthetic flaws, but, again, my annoyance stems from the fact that both Astruc & Co and the most feverish of Marinette supporters like to pretend sheâs justified in everything she does. Sheâs Little Miss Slyboots regarding romance because of what Kim did to her; sheâs filled with anxiety because she loves her friends and she cares that much; sheâs awkward and flustered because ChloĂ©âs bullying has shred her self-esteem down to the bone.
Maybe she just sucks; in that inherent, piteous way thatâs entirely to do with her psyche and nothing to blame external factors about.
I still like Marinette â hence some of my more positive stories about her, that capitalise on her need to grow and gain self-confidence â but considering how pro-Marinette the rest of the fandom is, I feel like I need to step on the other side of the see-saw more just to balance the scales a bit.
(^That sentence is growing less relevant as of right now, with twenty-four episodes of Season 6 released. Anti-Marinette sentiment has never been as strong as of this moment but the point remains.)
I prefer Liladrien, too. Adrienette used to be my OTP and I wrote all my stories based around them back then, but as time passed, I realised that Liladrien is far more exciting and exotic for me. The sweetness of Adrienette can be bland sometimes, as demonstrated by their extremely vanilla and gushy shows of PDA in Season 6 (youâre the Sweetheart Royalty of François Dupont, we get it; we donât need a literal monologue and montage about it). What I like about Lila is how direct she is. She doesnât fluff around, she doesnât beat the bush for five whole seasons. If she was the Ladybug Miraculous Holder, the entire series couldâve been finished within three seasons.
As for your questions:
1. What are your favourite fics in the MLB community?
I have two fics that I really, really like; and I never saved them, so they're gone into the wind, never to be seen again unless I manage to locate them. One of them is basically a social media AU that explores the Internet of Miraculous' Paris with shockingly realistic commentary. The other concerns the Miraculous Paris TV special and the live of alternate Marinette. If I find either of those stories again, I will be sharing them.
2. Could we have a peek into what youâre currently writing?
Sure! From: diamond life, lover boy
Itâs torture, this sweetness, itâs suffocating. Adrien thinks he might drown in all this honey.
Thatâs why, despite his aversion to modelling, to the star industry, to any of his fatherâs old business partners that have been repeatedly and futilely hunting him down â Nathalie snipes them like how Safari once shot her prey â Adrien said yes when an unknown, foreign investor reached out of the blue and asked for a private meeting. Adrien has never heard of them before, Luxus Corps is a relatively new conglomerate, established within the last five years, but it already has its fingers in the fields of energy development and luxury goods, alongside talent management. Adrien predicts that they want to scoop up what remains of the once-mighty Agreste empire. The power dynamics in the upper echelons of society ripples like waves, heritage and blue blood arenât enough to keep one in power. As the current Bourbon lineage mourns, some of their fellow aristocrats have been forced to employment due to their lack of funds. The man that canât keep up today is the sucker tomorrow. Itâs perfect, the right mixture of the lifestyle he grew up in and unknown faces. Adrien needs this, some form of humiliation and condescension, like how a beaten dog would wander back to its master just for the familiarity of the touch.
Ciao âš
sometimes u headcanon a character as a sexuality but then also ship things that contradict that. sometimes you ship things you would NEVER EVER want in canon. this is because these things are fun and silly and not legally binding.
Yeah I don't know where some people got this idea that fanfic is always like, auditioning to replace canon or being posited as "better" than canon, as opposed to people just borrowing the characters to play with in the sandpit for a while before putting them back in their box
the "my favorite character did nothing wrong" mindset is completely unappealing to me because i love thinking about all the things my favorite characters did wrong

You ment outfit right?
Hanahaki disease is a psychosomatic illness. It's a thing that your body does in response to stress over constantly repressing/concealing your feelings in settings with high background magic. It's like you've been ignoring pain for a long time and suddenly your vision starts going dark, because your affected body is just YANKING on random alerts trying to get you to PAY ATTENTION there is a PROBLEM. Yes the flowers do really exist. So do non-magical psychosomatic symptoms. The flowers aren't special.
This does of course open up the trope to options for non-romantic concealed feelings. Which I think is great. There is something viscerally satisfying about the person who seems so outwardly chipper coughing and hacking and spitting up Depression Flowers so now everyone has to know they're hurting. Isn't there?
Hanahaki, but it's a child that feels neglected by their parents.
Hanahaki, but it's someone whose friends have started ghosting them.
Hanahaki, someone's wife is cheating on them.
Hanahaki, the disease that gives you three options: confront your feelings, destroy the love you hold for someone or perish choking on roses.
Imagine this for transness
Hanahaki but itâs your body desperately needing you to love and care for it while your mind is trapped in the body that doesnât fit, thatâs wrong as it destroys you from the inside out the longer you arenât able to get help to make your body feel like you
actually I think you should be normal about ordinary citizens of authoritarian countries and yes that applies even to that country you're thinking of right now
âthis character did not act in the most objectively logical way possible!â is not ! actually valid literary criticism
i have trust that the media literacy enjoyers will find this one idk
Idk just some doodles I made yesterday
The heatwave is killing me here
I had one of those yesterday and forgot that they color your mouth blue
this is so cute
i like the phrases "it's not for me," "it's not my thing," and "i'm not the target audience" because they're the most concise way to express "this thing that you enjoy has merits but idgaf about it" without being aggressive
This is important and it is also important to practice letting people have opinions (and criticism!) without taking it personally or acting like its an attack against you. It's easy to think "I like this thing so when someone doesn't like it that means they don't like me or they think I'm wrong" and then get RSD about it and lash out.
Practice not taking opinions personally. Being polite is one thing but no one wants to feel like they have to "walk on eggshells" around you because if they say something other than "it was perfect and I loved it" you're going to blow up in their face. People will simply stop trying to engage with you.
