While I haven't been on this blog in over 4 years now I can still say that I sometimes think back on Gotham and remember all the good memories I had waiting for new episodes every season and looking through the Gotham tag on Tumblr to see all the pretty gif sets and nice analyses. I started actively watching the show when season 2 started airing so the show had been with me for a couple of years. I still wished they made more seasons but in the end it is still one of my favorite TV shows of all time. I miss you Gotham and I miss my favorite characters. ❤️

Gotham characters ages?

Hello Gotham family,

I know that the entire Gotham series setting is supposed to be timeless, but I still can't help but wonder about the ages of the characters.

We know that Bruce is 12 when his parents are murdered, Penguin stated in season 2 that he was 31 and I think I remember Alfred or anyone else saying that Selina is 1 year older than Bruce, making her 13 at the beggining. I also remember Jerome being 18 in season 2. I also believe Sofia was 23 in season 4 since she said her dad sent her away at 13 and later she said to Jim "what do you think I've been doing the last 10 years" or something like this.

But what about the others? You guys have any ideas (or headcanons for that matter) how old Jim, Barbara, Harvey, Tabitha, Ed, Ivy (pre changes), Fish, Jonathan or Victor at the beginning of the series are?

Of course we can't know for sure, and some may say that it doesn't matter, but I'm curious and would very much like to hear people's opinion on that.

Whatever he is doing I hope he is okay. Also, I think he might team up with Barbara at some point? Because I remember Erin posting a picture of Zsasz on her Instagram with the hashtag #dreamteam Or maybe I’m just reading too much into that now. Anyways I can’t wait to see my man again.

I like this idea because it plays into my theory that the pic of Zsasz back in the GCPD is him arriving as the calvary.

If they go that route with Zsasz I would be so happy tbh. I also thought two of the guys who participated in the big shootout scene from the trailer could be Headhunter and Zsasz or maybe that is just me wishing it is them. I also have no other idea why Zsasz would show up at the GCPD again since I don’t think the government will put a chip in him too.

The two guys next to Ed in the shoot out aren’t Headhunter and Zsasz. In the newer clips you see them before they face they wall, they’re GCPD. I’m bummed I wanted it to be them too.

Zsasz is one of those characters where he could turn up anywhere and the writers could use any excuse, like canned peaches, and I’d be like, totally acceptable, story checks out.

So, I could just as easily accept the idea that they chipped Zsasz and sent him in to take out Jim or that Barbara recruited Zsasz to help the others hold off Walker’s crew. Honestly, neither would surprise me I’d just much prefer the latter.

I guess you've made a pretty good point there.

If you look at it this way both theories could be possible, I guess I just don't want the chip theory to be true, but we'll have to wait and see.
