Random AU idea I had while listening to The Ghost on the Shore by Lord Huron
Grace died a couple months after getting to Erid because his body kept rejecting food after being malnourished for so long that he “haunts” the biodome.
Perhaps an Eridian has some type of sixth sense or mutation that allows them to sense spirits through subtle vibrations and it deeply unsettles the ones that can sense them.
If we go Bloodymary, Simon shows up on Erid because of the God. Grace can also dreamwalk once Simon is on Erid and since Simon has nightmares so often, Grace can help make the nightmares more bearable by being there. Simon has no clue who this strange, blond man in his nightmares is, but he’s not complaining too much since the nightmares seem to be less nightmare with him there.
If we wanna go Angel Grace as well then the Ignorant God from Iron Lung somehow finds Grace in the PHM universe and is like, “huh? He seems kinda cool and nice. Would be a shame if he fucken died before I get the fucked up Convict to him.” A couple days after it found him, Grace fucken dies from something and the God is just like, “are you fucking kidding me right now?! I just found this asshole!” or something like that. It ends up bringing Ghost Grace to the place Simon was when he first saw the God and asks if he wants another chance at life or something. He would come back different and it would be painful as fuck (because wings growing out of your back would have to be painful!). Grace is confused, a bit scared, but also extremely curious as to why a giant eye is talking to him while he stands ankle deep in blood. He asks what the changes would be exactly and the God is just like, “idk. Could become and angel type thing or turn out really fucked up.” Grace takes a deep breath and thanks for a good few minutes then agrees. He wants this chance to see Rocky, his best friend again.
Grace is sent back to Erid, still a spirit, but can actually do a bit more than he could. He can be corporeal now but not for long and he doesn’t realize when he is! He can also hear the God when it wants to talk to him and he can sometimes start the conversation himself!
After dreamwalking in Simon’s dreams for a few months, they kinda got to know each other, but Simon wasn’t sure if it was the eel making this dream man up or if the man was something he made up himself. He kinda wishes he knew why Grace is in his nightmares as often as he is. He asks Rocky who the fuck the man in his dreams is and Rocky shows him a little memorial thing the Eridians made for Grace after he died. Simon would wake up, do some gardening (they would have a greenhouse), and whatever else, and just randomly see Grace on the beach sometimes. Simon thinks he’s going a little insane (he’s not) and tries to not look at the beach much. This is also around the time when Grace’s angel wings start to grow so he is starting to hurt. Grace stops dreamwalking for a while because the pain is just too much at times. It takes about 2 months for the wings to be done growing out of his back and to full size, but the feathers still need to grow in (the feathers do not hurt to grow, but they make him itchy and his back a bit more sensitive). Simon’s nightmares didn’t get as bad as they were, but they did start sucking again after Grace took a break from dreamwalking.
Grace did start dreamwalking again after the pain finally subsided and Simon was just a little shidded to see that Grace had Angel wings now because what do you mean this man just grew wings?! Was he always an actual angel or is this new?! Simon is immediately more aware of what he says to and around Grace due to the angel thing.
The God that made Grace an angel yoinks him to the one place they first met and tells him that he will slowly have a physical body again. Grace is reasonably confused because what do you mean he’s gonna have a physical body again? The God doesn’t say anything else and sends Grace back. The blood that he was standing in clung to his shoes so he took them and his socks off so he wasn’t uncomfortable (this is the first time the blood actually sticks to his clothing in some way).
It was still daytime in the biodome so Grace walked on the beach, checked out the greenhouse, went to the classroom he taught at for a month before things got really bad for him, and then laid on the floor of what is now Simon’s house. That took him most of the day so he just closed his eyes and dozed off.
Grace doesn’t know how long he was asleep for, but when he woke up Simon was hovering over him. Grace wasn’t expecting that. Simon was looking directly into his eyes and it was unsettling to say the least and when Simon goes to poke at Grace like a bug, Grace does not expect himself to actually be corporeal. He didn’t actually know he could be corporeal.
I wanna give Angel Grace a halo with a bunch of eyes and he gets migraines because there are so many eyes he can see out of. He eventually learns how to close the halo eyes so the migraines aren’t nearly as frequent or bad, but they still happen.
Simon's mutations are most likely going to be large amounts of coral sticking through is body.

1. Ryland Grace from Project Hail Mary
I love him because he's such a nerd! In the book he is an even bigger nerd because of all the science and I adore it! I also really liked Steve the Army Guy and Dimitri! Sucks they weren't in the movie. Ryan Gosling did such a great job of portraying the confused, terrified, smart man that is Ryland Grace. My dad and I are also going to be cosplaying him at a Comic Con in November (hence why he is #1)!
2. Kinger from The Amazing Digital Circus
I love this chess piece man so much! He was amazing in every scene he was in! Episode 3 is and will always be my all time favorite episode because we got Kinger giving super great advice and just being a dad. I know he did the same thing in episode 6 (was that the gun episode? I hope it was lol) but I loved seeing him comfort Pomni for the first time. We did also hear him talk about remembering Ragatha first joining and comforting her and I loved it, but it was easy for me to miss. I also really enjoyed his random nonsense at times.
3. Simon from Iron Lung
I very much enjoyed watching him get thrown around like a rag doll! Throw that man around and make him cry more! Seriously though, Markiplier did a great job on that movie! Seeing Simon terrified of dying and just wanting to live, taking his anger out on things, and just being a person in a really bad situation. I love it all! I also adore the fanfics that exist because this.

My middle name is Grace and I am a girl and since Graceful_Girl wasn't available I picked Graceful_Girl3. I am one of the clumsiest people I know so when people ask me if my name is Graceful_Girl because I'm graceful, I say no.
A few of my favorite quotes from Kinger that deserved a spot on my wall. My mom painted that part of my wall with chalkboard paint a while ago. Used to have a couple BATIM things, but it was time for a change.
Was gonna put "I'll be your meowing milkmaid" but decided against it for now. Might put it up once I get more purple chalk.
I got bored and wanted to doodle. Lol. The garbage can was done a while ago and the bees were a week ago. Watching streams of the VAs doing signings got me in the mood to doodle.
How did Pomni summon the exit door and know about C&A? The ceiling or whatever had a C&A logo on it! She never knew about it until episode 7 and then episode 8 when Kinger went more in depth about it. Unless Caine actually did start trying to make an exit adventure for them and then just stopped. Maybe she somehow subconsciously used some codes that were used during Caine's creation because the rooms were pretty close if not exactly like the ones Caine has photos of?
