i thought i'd start off my blog with one of my all time favorite shrimp videos! :)

this one gets a big ol cute rating, and i'll also give you some context to what's happening:

these are bamboo shrimp, they're filter feeders that catch particles in the water using these special fan-like appendages that they hold out in front of them- like you can see here!

they rely on good, strong currents in the water to get enough food, so they must LOVE this little carousel, it's like a big whirlpool buffet!!
