It's stupidly edgy and bloomy and LotR styled and takes everything Ocarina of Time did so perfectly and builds on it. To me this is also just THE most beautiful Zelda design I love her so much!

It's hard to believe Zelda's 40 years old today. I'm not going to say much here, because it would come out sounding saccharine and sentimental, but I can't even express in words how important these games are to me. Not only are their stories incredible, their artwork beyond gorgeous, their music iconic, and their social impact staggering, Zelda is also a mark of my family's heritage and the means through which I met my best friend. Here's to four decades, Princess, and here's to many more <3

last resort - sketch

OMG! I just watched the teaser for the next part of Hero's Purpose by Major Link, and when I saw the Twilight Princess connection, I almost screamed. XD I just love this series so much; it even got me to draw again. I always wanted to draw something with the gossip stone ever since I noticed Link leaning against it in the last part. So this is an interpretation of a scene from the teaser. Some proportions and angles are still off, but hopefully I can fix them when it comes to the real line art.

I'm so hyped up for the final part(s)—but I'm also patient; good things need time after all.

This special is from a scene much further in the LU comic. It felt like a fitting way to reflect on the journey that started it all. What an impression it left, as we still feel that sense of adventure all these years later.

"It was not a good holo. It was late, and the room was dark, and so proper lighting was absolutely nonexistent. The blue filter that all holos have had washed out Riyo's pale coloring until she looked almost grey. The bloodstains from Fox's nosebleed were, thankfully, mostly on the sleeve hidden by his datapad, and he'd managed to clean his face up since getting back from the ceremony, but his eye was still painfully black and swollen and his scar looked paler and angrier than ever. And Thorn was no holographer; it was a miracle, at the very least, that the picture wasn't blurry to boot.

"It was not a good holo. But Thorn had taken it because, as Riyo had stepped over to see whatever it was Fox needed to show her on his datapad, her arm had very naturally draped across his back and her hand had come to rest on his shoulder. And neither of them had even seemed to notice; they just kept talking as though this careless embrace was the most normal thing in the world."

I'm a day late I know, but Happy Valentine's to you all!

Me being myself, I had to draw Them because thoughts of Them consume me at all times. But this is good because it means I can continue the grand tradition of using discarded Padme concepts to give Riyo a brand-new wardrobe.

Anyway. The AU Formerly Known as WDAP is turning two years old this year. Thanks to everyone who's tuned in to my insanity since then. Perhaps this year I'll actually start the fic XD
