A bad defence against an invasion in Elden Ring
Sword of the Necromancer, a summoning focused dungeon rogue-like that was on Kickstarter and has released a beta to backers. It looks pretty good, though quite a way from completion, so far.
You may agree or disagree with the whole thing around Churchill right now, but I think there is a certain horror to a person with a racist golliwog doll as an avatar calling for people to be attacked and illegally deported (made stateless in effect, which is illegal) before whining that BLM has ‘made people racist’. Whatever your stance on the statues, whether you think they deserve to be torn down, or even think they are a distraction for pushing for the change we need in the present, someone openly flouting their racism like this and people being so uncritical as to support such a clearly racist and extreme individual is indicative of the problems currently being protested, that these protests indeed do act to serve the deep problems with race in this country, as well as the fragile nature of those who until now have been comfortable in their racism, safe and comfortable without having it examined and rightfully criticised for its abhorrent nature.

Scots Make Poor Cowboys
I was in a bit of a manic mood on that day and boy did it show.
My Monster Hunter: World Guild Card, as of the moment,
So, weird thing... the only two Savage Deviljho’s I’ve fought have both been gold crowns, and I have no idea how that’s something that is possible.
Pretty Tetrominoes - My First Look at Tetris Effect
I try my hand at a flashy Tetris game I'd never heard of before, and have a confused though good time with it.
Dungeons and Dragon’s piracy campaign is going well. Break down a door to help a party member, inadvertently damaging the ship we were robbing from to sink, that’s apparently wrong. Coming from the one who caused the tower of a notable house and family in a major imperial city to fall due to the a mixture of igniting oil in a room filled with gunpowder barrels and releasing an unstoppable steel golem bent on murdering all it lays eyes upon, causing the other noble towers to fire upon the poor sods. That, that apparently isn’t as much of a boo-boo as accidentally sinking a ship with no hands lost due to the accidental scuttling.
Feel quite unfairly attacked, tbh.
AT Lunastra is fun with Gunlance (Monster Hunter World)
Honestly wasn’t as an annoying a fight as I thought it would be, but maybe that’s because I’ve got used to not using my Charge Blades on the AT Elders now. Gunlance was also quite a lot easier and faster than using the Light Bow Gun. Quite a lot of fun. Not as down on the AT Elders anymore, they do make me feel like I’m improving and they aren’t as hair pullingly infuriating as just a normal Behemoth because I can solo them and fail on my own.
This game is really fun.
A bit of relaxing D&D.
So, I got into Dungeons & Dragons recently. While looking through a charity shops shelves, found this (seems to have been published around 1e/Advanced 1e?) and bought it for a quid. Hopefully it’s pretty interesting.
My D&D group enjoys betraying my (the cleric’s) trust.
It is time again to convene the Steam Award Selection Committee, whose sole task is to nominate the best and brightest of the year. This esteemed committee is composed of those most qualified to judge: you! You must determine who elevated the medium of games, by metrics as unique as the field of contenders. To that end, we present a few new categories by which to measure greatness. The choice is yours – now go forth and nominate!
Played quite a few more games from this year than usual (particularly Dark Souls: Remastered and Monster Hunter World), so I felt decently confident to give this a stab.
Yeah, started browsing Kickstarter one afternoon after watching an old episode of the Jimquisition and stumbled over a game that really interested me on it for once. A mix of Onimusha Tactics and Hearthstone is kind of what comes to mind, and so I downloaded the demo they provided and had a blast.
