I played a route where my character was brain washed by the BOS so naturally she killed him and damn the feels.

I learned snails and slugs can apparently eat rat poison and will get fat on it instead of dying so i would like to present: giant fallout radsnails

Like, brahmin sized. Very slow but relatively unstoppable. Also, more than two eye stalks.

Some poor settler tries to poison the molerat nest down the hill but instead they attract a giant gooey glow in the dark radsnail that will not leave

The radiation made them much more intelligent than expected, equivalent of the one of a trained dog. Their shells are as resistant as a mirelurk carapace, often littered with vines, mushrooms and vegetation.

Gentle giants, they actually pose no threat to the humans besides the radiation they naturally emanate. They’re not an easy meal however, with toxic/poisonous glands under their skins that can kill an untreated man within hours.

Occasionally, a scavver in the marshes will step on a particularly hard patch of earth, think “did the ground just shift a little? Something feels off. By Atom I hope I didn’t just walk into a ‘lurk nest.”

And then a small army of eye stalks will emerge from the mud, fixed upon the wanderer.

Most run from the beasts when this happens; either startled at the eyes randomly popping out of the ground, or panicking as they realize they’re standing on a literal radioactive beacon.

But sometimes, an old, weary ghoul will greet the silent, staring stalks with a smile, and stop to rest in the company of the magnificent creature.

(Also, super mutants wearing radslug shells as armor, super mutants being the only creatures slugs are instantly hostile to on sight due to their penchant for killing the gentle beasts for sport)
