I'm Gwen! I'm forklift certified for real and post amateur photography. I also reblog A LOT of posts of things that generally appeal to me.
Regarding my photography I mostly focus on plants, birds and urban wildlife, while dabbling in macro photography and astrophotography. Everything I've posted can be found under the tag ”#gwen's camera”! I have a DSLR and a compact camera that I like to shoot with: the DSLR is a canon EOS 450D, an interchangeable lens camera from 2008. As someone who's still just starting with photography as a hobby it's a GREAT camera to learn with and can be found for decently cheap used. I got mine with the 18-55mm kit lens and a charger for the battery for around $90 on ebay!
The compact camera is a canon PowerShot SX 740HS. This one was a gift from a friend who hadn't used it in years. It's a decently capable camera with HUGE zoom range, and being compact it fits in my purse very nicely for impulse shooting while I'm out and about. Most of my earlier bird and sky photos were taken with this before I got a good zoom lens for my DSLR, but I still carry it with me every day
