there are days where NO ❌️ video games are played and there are days where video games are played for 10 or maybe 14 hours straight
Being an adult in this recession and being like wow I am totally "splurging" on 3 new sets of cotton underwear and 3 pairs of socks like whoaaaaa hold your horses duke of the land where's all this money gonna come from
New images of machines from the Lego Horizon Adventures game! I love the details on them, right down the Cauldron marks! Now if only more Lego sets would be made to match our beloved Tallneck set...
fathers casually dropping the craziest lore of their lives in the middle of a conversation
My brother and I trying to piece together our dad’s life based on random info he casually brings up once and then never mentions again
When my great grandpa was on his deathbed my grandpa (his son) was with him and says his last words were “I told them they shouldn’t have hanged that woman. Well by damn they’re paying now” and no one in my family knows what the fuck that means
My grandmother was harassing me about the dangers of online dating, and my grandpa was like, “Oh fer crying out loud, leave her alone. My parents met online, she’ll be fine.” Apparenly my great grandparents were both telegraph operators who would chat over the line in between messages and fell in love and my great grandma moved halfway across the country to marry a dude she met over the telegraph.
No one alive in the family had ever heard this story until like 70+ years later when I happened to start seeing a dude from OK Cupid.
We were driving through Old Country once and my grandpa Sasha randomly went “oh this is where we blew up that bridge as kids, I guess it got rebuilt”

It's still kinda wild how Phineas and Ferb managed to completely hijack an idiom. Now whenever someone hears a sentence leading with "If I had a nickel for everytime [...]", odds are their brain auto fills with "I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice," rather than "I'd be rich," or "I could [action that requires purchasing something requiring an obscene amount of money]". Y'know, what the idiom originally was
So I was having a conversation with a friend about old anime and in the middle of it she forgot the word "canonical" and she instead inflicted a spectacular new aesthetic and slew of mental images on me by saying the phrase "Biblically Accurate Ouran High School Host Club".
The term canonical does originally refer to biblical canon, so it is essentially a synonym for biblically accurate
Which is exactly why she used it! The problem is that I'm a feral agnostic and the connection I made was to the eldritch depictions of "Biblically Accurate Angels" so the image that popped into my head and that I've been compelled all week to draw was:
KISS KISS FALL FROM GRACE

Portraits of Godzilla with two of his wives. Maria of Schoenberg, who he married in 1285 and who died in childbirth in 1291, and Consuela, Duchess of Castille, who he married in 1413 and ate in 1419.
If only there were some sort of facility where teenagers could be taught new skills.
Anyway, here's a helpful diagram. When I was hit on the temple this was one of the harder things I had to reteach myself. Don't be shamed into not asking questions, and it's alright if it takes you a while to figure it out. Don't let someone make you feel bad for learning new things, or relearning old ones.
Sometimes, unfortunately, you have to teach yourself. YouTube is a valid option.
ik how reviving looks in a game but imagine irl if you died in battle and then wake up 5 minutes later to your healer mage going "chop chop let's go you're not done here! finish killing that guy" like thanks for unbreaking my bones but jeez
