Guys, you need to go and read the Department Q book series by Jussi Adler-Olsen!
I just finished the first book, The Keeper of Lost Causes, and dare I say I loved it more than the Netflix adaptation?
We learn more about Akram (who’s called Assad in the book), and let me tell you, he’s such an easy character to love. Literally the coolest guy- like damn, where did he learn to do all that stuff, and how does he know so much?
I’ll definitely be reading the rest of the books , but I promise you this first one is worth your time. You’ll notice some differences between the Netflix adaptation and the book, mostly name-related and a few other details, and (in my personal opinion) the book feels a bit sadder. But overall, both will give you a similar emotional experience. I can't believe I only now learn about this author.
Y'all gonna hear me yapping about this for a while.
It happened, guys. Netflix just released a series that isn't dog shit.
Y'all go ahead and watch Dept. Q. You don't need to know more, just trust me on this one.
Because God knows we won't have another season, just like Netflix always does with not continuing anything after s1. But it's worth it, probably the best thing I watched so far.
This man dngaf about Richard at all. Boy was freezing coming to the office every day, washing himself in the basement and eating canned soup. And this man did not give a single fuck.

Why did I read "he is always with a twink" and I thought of Richard ?
Henry and Julian were something else..
After Julian left, Henry was like " Fuck this shit I'm out"
What vibe does The Secret History give ?
So I saw a little something on Reddit, this user said that they didn't get dark academia vibes from the book, then preceded to show this board.
I'm tripping or this is what dark academia is about? I'm understanding it wrong or smtg?
I always used DA tag and was thinking that's it, either what this user doesn't know what dark academia is or I don't. What do you think.
