Okay so I started watching Voyager fairly recently and I've heard that the fandom doesn't appreciate Tuvok enough? Which is like, weird to me bc Tuvok!!!
Okay so this is gonna be a veeeeery rambly Tuvok appreciation post
He is like the most competent person on board
I'd put my life in his hands readily, without hesitation
How do I describe Tuvok
Emits an air of awe and appreciation at the same time
Is a father! Like, he got experience in parenting! Was probably good at it! (I remember an episode where that was sort of discussed but my memory is bad but yeah!) I mean take a look at him, he's good with kids
I wouldn't want him as my superior officer tbh, I'd be too afraid of disappointing him
As a mentor tho, hell yeah
He was a teacher? At star fleet academy? Omg I wanna be taught by Tuvok can you image the sheer competence but also very demanding but all good teachers are in a way
His diplomatic skills. there's an episode where he solves a crime mystery of sorts with a telepathic race and he is at the same time respecting the hell out of their customs but also trying to solve the mystery in a logical way and not shying away from asking questions and trying to cooperate wherever possible with the "local authorities" idk it's a good Tuvok episode i luved
In conclusion, Tuvok Y E S
Feel free to add more! Tuvok is such a great character he certainly deserves the attention!!!
Also when he's talking about parenthood with Neelix and then Neelix say "I wouldn't have anything to teach a daughter" and Tuvok shuts that shit RIGHT down. I love Tuvok
