Adele x Los Angeles #SoldOut

A very delayed Christmas and Birthday present to myself finally paid off as I finally was in the presence of ADELE! Thanks to the help of my former coworkers, and hours of pre-sale preparation, we secured some awesome seats during her pre-sale. In anticipation, we were off to Urban Toms for some happy hour drinks and apps to calm our nerves. *Click on the photos for an enlarged version*

With only 40 or so shows left on her tour, I highly recommend trying to catch a show if you haven't already. While all of her shows have been sold out since December, you might want to consider a StubHub ticket or start dialing your local radio stations. 

Adele was, without a doubt, the most stunning vocalist I've ever seen live. Her acoustic set was textbook perfection and her humor perfectly complimented the evening. Listening to her album on CD and vinyl won't do Adele justice any longer. With the concert behind me, I've gone into post-concert depression yet again...this time, it hits a lil' harder since my summer concert series has now concluded. Now the question is: what's next? Congratulations Sam + Kelsey!

Now, considering I wasn't invited to the destination proposal in Australia *cough* I was honored with the opportunity to go ring shopping with Sam in Los Angeles. A trip that coincidentally occurred while Kelsey was in San Diego as maid of honor at her friend's very own bachelorette party.

With that, we headed north to Los Angeles and were dazzled by diamonds galore from a family jeweler who made picking the perfect ring as easy as can be.

Oh how fun and interesting that day was, several months ago now. I am so happy for my best friend and his fiance and wish them the utmost happiness and a joyful marriage. See the beaming couple below :)

VidCon 2016 Round Up

VidCon 2016, that's a wrap!

This weekend has been a win for #TeamInternet as the 7th Annual VidCon descended onto the Anaheim Convention Center where over 300 featured creators, hundreds of industry leaders, hundreds of creators, and thousands of our community came together to celebrate our online passions. As a creator, I must say this was an amazing, inspiring, and euphoric experience. 

Inspired by the convention, there are TWO vlogs regarding glimpses into days 2 and 3 of my experience. (Note: day 1 was so overwhelming I focused on experiencing and forgot to film, sorry I'm human).

As promised in both of the vlogs, here are some extra looks into my experience at VidCon including some of the awesome featured creators I met (or spotted), the exhibitors, and pretty much everything else on my camera roll.

Rock 'n' Roll Run x San Diego

What a perfect day it was for a run! Rock 'n' Roll San Diego hosted both a half and full marathon in Downtown San Diego last Sunday with cameos in the neighborhoods of North Park, Mission Valley, and even Balboa Park. All hailed Queen Bey as she descended upon us in San Diego! Luckily, thanks to the Beyhive, I was able to score prime seats for this truly memorable night.

Nearly three hours later, the lights dimmed and the greatest night of our lives came to an end. Beyonce was amazing and I would definitely recommend her regardless if you are a beyhive fanatic. #ParkPreview: Wizarding World of #HarryPotter at #UniversalStudiosHollywood (pt. 3/3)

Here's your Sneak Peak of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey 4D Ride +VIDEO

No, this is not an April Fools' joke! April 1st means only 6 days left until the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade - Hollywood, CA will be open to the public! This blog will be dedicated entirely to the biggest attraction inside the new land. Stick around 'til the end and catch a POV video of the entire ride *warning: you may want to throw on some 3D glasses.

At the end of Hogsmeade you'll find yourself magically whisked away right to the bottom of Hogwarts where you're greeted by the Weasley's flying car crashed at the foot of the cliff.

I don't think this attraction will be posting a 10 minute wait anytime soon after next week's opening...bring something to keep you occupied as the queue is long, very long. But at least this is where the land becomes even more immersive. It's all in the details, and this part of the land is chalk full of 'em!

Inside, those whose bags are deemed too big are brought into a locker room where a complimentary 2 hours* are available to store your belongings. No keys or combos here as they utilize "fingerprint swirl-scanning" technology to keep your goods safe.

*Hopefully the two hour window means that the maximum acceptable wait time for the ride is 2 hours.

For your in-queue entertainment, there are a ton of artifacts, scenes, statues, and more from the movies. I apologize for any blurred photos as I only had ten minutes to *walk {run} through the entire queue. Maybe when I'm stuck in line for an hour or so I can re-shoot and update them. 

Now grab a seat and enjoy the ride!

#ParkPreview: Wizarding World of #HarryPotter at #UniversalStudiosHollywood (pt. 2/3)

Universal Studios Hollywood is about to unveil their latest land, the immersive Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade! In addition to the superb facades of Hogsmeade, there are layers upon layers of details any Potter Fan will surely appreciate. 

Hogsmeade is covered in details both small and large, from store front windows to pavement markers and bathroom audibles. Here are a hodgepodge I found throughout the land.

As if the hundreds of souvenir options weren't enough, look up and around and you can find great displays for sale and for viewing only.

Wand Magic

The interactive wand experiences throughout the land are fun for both young and old. The attraction inside Olivander's Fine Wand Shop goes beyond shelves of wands. And don't get me started on the interactive features throughout the park!

Structure Details

In every nook and cranny, up above and down below, Hogsmeade is truly dressed to the nine's in details true to the novels and those already imagined by the moveis. 

Hogsmeade is a treasure trove of great detail which makes the experience inside the land truly immersive. Even in restroom, Myrtle Warren's mumblings fill the stalls. With all of these details, Hogsmeade will truly be a park to visit multiple times to truly find and experience everything the creative team has to offer. Hopefully the attention to detail continues throughout further renovation and innovation at Universal Studios.

#ParkPreview: Wizarding World of #HarryPotter at #UniversalStudiosHollywood (pt. 1/3)

Welcome to Hogsmeade, at Universal Studios Hollywood!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has brought Hogsmeade to Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California! And I got to attend a Passholder Exclusive Preview event this weekend, on the eve to the land's grand opening on April 7th.

With so much to share, this blog would be too long to house the entire review. So, buckle in as there will be three blogs: grounds, details, and the new Harry Potter and the Forbidden -- sadly I forgot to cover the Flight of the Hippogriff ride. Without further ado, here is your first of three blogs.

The Grounds

In what has to be Universal Studios Hollywood's largest themed land, Hogsmeade is quite impressive and is bursting with details both novel/film fans and the general theme park attendee will enjoy. 

Phew! Doesn't Hogsmeade look amazing? This is the end of the grounds blog, but stay tuned for part two of the attention to detail throughout the park and part three focused on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride!

#FebruaryRoundUp x 2016 After OSCARS Live! with Kelly + Michael

Oh what a crazy weekend it was to be in Hollywood with the 88th Annual Academy Awards! Scoring tickets to #AfterOSCARS LIVE! with Kelly + Michael, the journey started midnight after the awards had concluded. After arriving to the secret shuttle location, the never ending queues began. 

Even with Priority seating, the wait was long, but our seats were well worth it.

I have to apologize for some of the poor quality images as we were not allowed to bring in any cameras, and well, the zoom on an iPhone 6 Plus can only do so much. Regardless, the show was plenty of fun after nearly 6 hours of waiting in queue. Can't wait for next year's award season!

#FebruaryRoundUp x TROYE SIVAN

Need I say more after a title like that? This month I got to see the amazing #TROYE SIVAN live in concert, again. This time around, the venue was larger and the tour stopped in town for multiple shows. This Thursday night show included an opening act x #ALLIE X.

And then finally the #YOUTH singer took to the stage. Here are some up front and personal stills of him at the Belasco in DTLA.

We were pleasantly surprised and treated to a #BETTYWHO cameo for a duet of Heaven.

Oh, and one more thing! We were treated to some VIP exclusive swag bags along with separate entry and a merchandise booth.

I cannot wait for my next chance to catch TROYE live! 'Til then, I'll be keeping Blue Neighbourhood on repeat, as you should too.

#FebruaryRoundUp x LAS VEGAS

...and here we are, at the end of February. I think it's time you were {finally} updated on all of the crazy things that has been going on in my life. Where do I begin? This February has been the most eventful in years with Vegas for my brother's birthday, summer concert ticket chaos, the ever so talented TROYE SIVAN, and the OSCARS. Now enough text, let's get to some pictures. Up first...

VEGAS

With an early arrival into McCarran International Airport, what better way to greet the Vegas strip than over drinks {and lunch} with my surprise guests waiting for my little brother Alvin to arrive? A giant pitcher of purple haze and some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had {sorry Roscoe's}.

Good food and drinks means only one thing: time to slip into a food coma. First night's rest was courtesy of #TheCromwell.
