heyoo!! hopping on to give a brief introduction about myself for those who may or may not be curious to get to know me!

the names miles, or milo, whatever works best tbh. i’m a ambimory asexual homoflexible transman, and have been professionally diagnosed with austim, bpd, gad, and depression.

i am a poc as well!! im blasian, half african-american half-filipino (along with many others, such as chinese, arabic, irish, french, and german!)

currently, i’m a freshman in high school (but im a few months away from being a sophomore tehe). im also a raging theater kid + band kid (best combo ikr)

also, i have an amazing boyfriend!! his name is marco, and he’s the bomb tehe

woah… lowkey forgot this blog was a thing LMAOO

sorry for disappearing off of the face of the earth for over a year now, i honestly just forgot about this haha.

i made this blog as an 8th grader with no hobbies, but i started to get more and more busy and eventually it just left my mind.

i’ve been thinking about coming back, and now that the end of my school year is coming up, i think now is a great time!

i cannot promise that this blog will be as it was, because it won’t, my fandoms will change (as my interests have), and so will my writing style (as that has HEAVILY improved as well)

so here’s what i’ll say, this blog will be rebranded in both terms of themes, fandoms, etc — my old pieces will stay up for those of you who wish to to enjoy them, but i no longer (at least for now) write for those fandoms.

the fandoms i will be writing for are hazbin hotel/helluva boss, my hero academia, and the music freaks — if those aren’t your cup of tea, do not feel pressured to stick around, unfollow if you want, honestly, it’s probably a fresh start for the both of us lolll

your boyfriend replied as he gave a cheeky grin. “cadera” is something his father, felix, would always say when trying to fit in with the teenagers of the madrigal family, like father like son, i guess.

HEYO. ya girls back !! i have something i’d like to say!!

i’m rebranding my acc!!

don’t worry for the most part about this - it’ll be pretty minor for the most part. there’s only a few main ways i’ll be rebranding!!

1: my accounts overall vibe

i’ve always liked the kinda black and white theme i’ve got goin’ but i feel like i want a bit more splashes of color :) so the theme may be different (+ a new username) within the following couple days/weeks!!

2: the type of writing i do

now now, don’t worry too much!! as this imo is only minor changes, but i wanna focus more on my harry potter writings (as i know the characters best and i feel most confident in writing for them). and i wanna work on bigger things, maybe a small part series, more oneshots, a little more than just the headcanons!! but they’ll always hold a special place in my heart🫶🫶 (and do not fret! my encanto/ohshc/musical requests are FOREVER open!!)

Friday night. You hated Friday night. You were supposed to be out having fun with your friends. But of course, you had to help out your parents. You have your own apartment now, but you let your parents drop off your little sister and litter brother on Fridays for that they could have a night out. It was never really late, so sometimes you would go out. But this night was special. It was the Friday of their anniversary week. You told them your siblings could stay over night. They gladly accepted your offer.

You spent all day getting set up for their arrival. Normally they would be over for a couple of hours, so it was never a big deal. You wouldn't even prepare. But tonight you had to do some preparing. You know they can get rowdy, so you wanted to set everything up beforehand; things like showers and dinner.

5pm rolled along and your parents knocked at your door. They gave you all that you needed, even a small bedtime routine. You felt prepared, they were just your siblings anyways.

Your sister, Nev, was always your favorite of the two. You've always been told not to have favorites, but Nev was just so well mannered and behaved when she was away from Drake, the youngest of you three.

Nev immediately dropped her bag on the ground and ran into your arms for a hug, "y/n! y/n! I can't believe we're spending the night! Are you excited?"

You hugged her back and nodded, "It's sure gonna be an adventure, I can promise you that."

Everything went well for about the first hour, you know, just the laying around and talking part. Telling stories from your week, asking them how their week went, what they wanna do.

Your phone buzzed, a reminder to start dinner.

"Aright, Drake and Nev," You stood up and looked at both of them, "One or Two?"

This was always a fun trick you used on them since they were real little. There was only one option, but you made them think that they had a choice to avoid arguing.

Drake was the first to answer, "Two! Two!"

"Mac and cheese it is!" You walked over to the kitchen. They stayed in the living room. You felt comfortable letting them watch t.v. on their own. Wasn't too hard to handle, plus you had a clear view of them.

That all changed once the water started to boil. They were yelling at each other. Fighting over whether to watch Jimmy Neutron or Fairly Odd Parents. You grew up watching those shows, so you got them hooked on it.

"I wanna watch Jimmy Neutron!" Drake yelled.

"But Cosmo and Wanda are waiting for us!" Nev rebutted.

You already knew that it was going to be a long night. You turned the burner down and walked over to them. They looked like some ball, completely entangled within on another trying to get this damn remote.

"Hey!" You yelled over them. "Separate! Now!"

"Not until she gives me the remote!" Drake yelled back.

"Why can't you just be nice for once?" Nev yelled.

You hated yelling. It gave you a headache. You were about to turn the whole t.v. off but your phone rang. Both kids stopped for a moment to see what you would do. You grabbed your phone out of your pocket and looked at it. A smile crept onto your face.

"Hey, Clay!" You answered.

Both of you siblings dropped the remote to listen in. You could hear Drake whisper in the background, "Is that a boy?"

"y/n!" Clay replied. "Im happy you picked up! A few people from our-"

You couldn't hear after that. Nev lunged towards the remote on the ground, causing Drake to dive after it. They were yelling and wrestling yet again.

“Cut that out now or I swear I will punt both of you!” You threatened.

It must've not been that threatening, they just laughed. But it did get them to stop.

“I’m sorry,” You apologized. “What did you say?”

Clay laughed, “Sounds like you’re having a fun time? I was gonna ask you if you wanted to hang out with me and some friends tonight but you sound busy.”

“Yeah, just a bit,” You joked. “Thank you for thinking of me though, that was kind of you.”

“I think about you all the time,” Clay joked back. “I’ve missed you, its been a while.” “OH MY GOSH Y/N IS BLU-” You tackled Drake to the ground, covering his mouth. You’ve liked Clay for the longest time now, but you never told him or hinted at it. It was something more personal. And your siblings were not about to ruin it.

“Yeah, I've missed you too,” You sighed, “But have fun tonight.” “You sound like you got a handful, need some help?” Clay asked. 

You shook your head, “No I-I think I’m alright. They're spending the night, they’ll be to bed soon enough.”

“I’ll be over in a bit.”

“No, Clay you have-” Beep. He hung up. Guess you were getting some help tonight.

You sat down on the couch in bitter-sweet release.

Nev jumped onto your lap, “Who’s Clay?”

You laughed, “Clay is a friend of mine. He’s gonna be over soon to come hang out with us.”

“OhOhOh~” Drake teased, “Clay’s coming over. I’m gonna tell Mom!”

You huffed, “Go ahead, tell Mom. She’s met him before.”

“I’m gonna tell her that he's coming over to make out with you~” Drake made kissy faces at you.

You palmed his forehead and pushed him to the ground, “Kid, you’re like ten, how do you know about that. And we’re not that way.”

“I’m nine!” He reminded you.

“Nine, whatever,” You rolled your eyes. “Just don’t embarrass me!”

You and your siblings were finishing up dinner when the door swung open. Very classic of Clay, just walking into wherever he wants to be. You weren't surprised.

But god was he stunning. His hair was floofed to one side of his face, freckles caressing his dimples; in every way possible he was gorgeous. Gorgeous enough to even make Nev drop her spoon, “Is that Clay?”

Clay laughed, “Yes! My name is Clay. You must be Nev right?”

She happily nodded, “Yeah! And that's Drake!” She pointed over to him, “He’s a bully.”

Clay set two bags down on the floor and kicked his shoes off, “Well he doesn't look like a bully.”

“That's because I’m not!” Drake pointed out. “I like Clay, he gets me.”

Well this is a good start.

Clay pulled up a chair in between them, “Have you been having fun with your sister?”

They had mix reactions. Nev was always the happiest of you three. She always remembered the good times rather than the bad ones. Drake tends to focus more on what he got punished for, like when you yelled at him for wrestling. 

“You better be good for us tonight? Okay? You already gave her a hard time. That’s I’m here. We’re gonna have some fun and give y/n a break. Got it?” They nodded at him and gave them in sync high-fives.

You smiled at the thought. A night just to spend time with the most important people in your life. Sounded like a dream. You stood up, “You two finish up eating. Me and Clay are gonna think of something to do while our bellies settled, alright?”

They both nodded and went back to eating. You and Clay sat down on the couch. 

“Thank you for coming,” You started. “You didn't have to. I know you had plans tonight, if this becomes too much for you don't be scared to leave. I’ll be okay. You know I watch them every Friday.”

Clay made eye contact with you. Just that alone made you calm down, some of your worries went away. You already felt better. “I’m not gonna leave you until you physically drag me out that door,” He promised.

“Don’t tempt me like that, Clay,” You chuckled. “I might just keep you here forever.”

He slid a finger over your hand, “That’s alright with me.”

You took slower breaths, trying to keep your heart rate down, “I have some coloring pages printed out I think I wanna have them do, settle them down and all. I wanna take them to the park after to let them get their energy out.”

Clay nodded, “If that’s you want then go ahead. I’ll watch over them. Go take a bath or something. I don't know, sit in your room and read? Whatever you want to do. I’ll keep them occupied for the next hour or so. You just have a little mental reset.”

You smiled, “T-Thank you. I think I need that. I’ve been working you know.”

Clay patted you on the back, “Of course I know you have. Extremely hard. You go get the colors and stuff and I’ll clean up.” He stood up and went into the kitchen, leaving you all flustered and smiling.

This was going to be a fun day.

You spent the next hour literally napping. You knew that you were going to be exhausted trying to keep up and running around with them. You woke up to your alarm and stretched out. Grabbing your phone, you went back into the kitchen. You leaned against the wall and watched as Clay was handing out markers to your siblings and encouraging their creative ideals. 

“Having fun?” You asked.

Clay whipped around, a little startled.

“Yes!” Nev giggled. “Look at what Clay helped me make!” You weren't exactly sure what it was, but it was a cute animal that had many other animals illustrated within it, “Awe that looks good Nev. What about you, Drake?” You walked over behind Clay, placing a hand on his chair back.

They took turns showing you what they made. Clay was there smirking proudly. 

“This all looks nice kids. Go get your shoes on. We’re going to the park!”

The kids left everything behind as they raced to get their shoes on. Clay started to do a little picking up, but you told him that would worry about when you go home.

Everyone was accounted for and you started your walk to the park. Nev was holding your hand and Drake started to trudge behind just after a block.

“Slow down!” He called. “I can't keep up!”

“Dude, its been a block, chill out,” You told him.

“Do you want me to carry you?” Clay offered.

“Oh my gosh yes!” Drake started making grabby hands at Clay. You laughed at how silly it was. 

Clay counted down and on three hoisted Drake up and over his head, effortlessly placing him down on his shoulders. To be fair, it was a bit impressive, and it was also kinda hot, but we don't talk about that. 

“What? That’s not fair!” Nev argued. “I wanna be carried!”

“Nev hun, you know I'm not that strong,” You reminded her.

“If you behave well at the park I’ll carry you back,” Clay offered. “Deal?”

“Deal.”

The park was very easy going. The easiest park trip that you've had yet. Clay made it so easy for you make sure both of your siblings were being safe and playing nicely together. Clay kept his end of the deal and carried Nev back. When you got back, the kids put on their nightwear and you cleaned up the kitchen. Everyone regrouped in the living room, where Clay had pulled multiple blankets from the closet and a few chairs, “Wanna make forts?”

Of course everyone wanted to make forts, even you. You haven’t made a fort in a long time, since you were high school maybe. You guys made one small one for the kids, and one bigger one for you and Clay. 

Clay truly did make you feel young again. Every time you saw him, you had a burst of energy and more motivation to get up and do something. You really did love everything about him and everything he did for you. 

“Good job guys!” Clay praised. “I brought a surprise over!”

Clay went to his extra bag and pulled out a few board games, all in their wrapping. You looked at him in shock, “Clay, you didn't have to get games for us! They have some at home!”

“But you don't have any here,” Clay pointed out. “I got these for that you can keep them here. That way you have more options to keep them entertained. They’re all basic and non-competitive games, that way you don't have to worry about them fighting.”

You didn't even know what to say. ‘Thank you’ was no where near enough to express how you felt. This was so damn thoughtful of him. All you could do was huge him, melting into his arms. Your siblings joined you in the hug, jumping on Clay’s back.

You played games until the kids couldn't stay focused enough because they were so tired. Clay looked up some stories online and read it to them. They fell asleep in the big tent. Nev was passed out in your lap and Drake leaned on Clay’s shoulder.

You two picked the kids up and laid them down in their own tent, putting a blanket over them, and returned to your tent.

“Thank you for coming over. I think you might've made the kids’ year,” You told Clay.

He propped up some pillows and leaned into them, one hand playing with the blanket, the other supporting his head, “Yeah no problem. Thank you for letting me come over. This was way better than going out and watching people play darts and shit.”

You nodded and leaned onto the pillow that Clay was on, “You’re really good with kids you know.”

He smiled and hesitantly took your hand, “I have a younger sister too, y’know.”

“You think you could handle another one?” You asked.

He shook his head, “By myself? God no. I would drown.” He caught your eye, “That’s one thing that I really admire about you. You strong headed and stick through the pain. I don't get how you handle those two alone every week. Thank you for being amazing.”

You snuggled into his open arm, and by surprise he placed his arm over you, “What else makes me amazing?” 

“Oh so now we supported pandering?” Clay joked. “You’re amazing because of the way you handle all situations. The way that you carefully access everything, make sure everyone is safe, putting others before yourself. I can only think of one bad thing about you?” “What’s that?” “You don't share my last name,” Clay whispered into your ear, lightly laughing and kissed the top of your head.

You two both laughed about it for a couple seconds in silence, “You’re gonna be this good with our kids right?” You asked him.

“Our kids?” He questioned, making eye contact with you.

You nodded, “Yes, our kids silly.”

“cmon… just a little bit more..” harry cooed patiently, hands placed on your hips. “forget it, harry. i don’t think i’ll ever get it right.” you sighed, wanting to throw your wand down on the ground.

dumbledore’s army had just begun merely a few sessions ago, and no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t get your patronous just right.

maybe it was because you upset professor dolores umbridge today and pushed her far beyond her limits (not even on purpose, for that matter). or maybe it’s because colin creevey was stuck way too far up your arsehole whenever you would do something wrong when it came to today’s D.A session.

“well, maybe i can give you a happy memory to think about.” harry suggested. “how on earth do you plan to do that?” you questioned, wary of what he may do.

“maybe…like this.”

and with that, harry began to scan your lips with his, feeling for all the fine details that no one else would get to see but himself.

harry felt you smile against his own lips before pulling away, with a lopsided grin smearing his cheeks.

“i love you.” harry smiled, sounding as if he’s been waiting a century to say those words to you.

“i love you too.”

“oh no!! oh no no no..!!” the ginger boy roared as he was being dragged by the foot by the black-furred dog (unbeknownst to him, which was sirius black), “i can’t die yet!! i haven’t told (y/n) how much i love her yet!!”

“you bloody moron, she’s right here!!” the shorter bushy haired girl replied, slightly jealous it was her best friends name and not her own.

“i love you, (y/n)! if i die, i promise my ghost will haunt you!!” ron shouted before being dragged away out of sight.

“i love you too!” you yelped, hoping he could still hear you.

when: 7th year

“i know this isn’t much… but i wanted to be able to do something for you for our anniversary.” hermione said, rubbing her neck in pure embarrassment.

you, hermione, harry, and ron were on a hunt to look for all of voldemort’s horcurxes, and because of that, you all were staying in a rubbish tent in the woods.

the tent was empty for the most part, other than the small radio player that had muggle romance music on it.

“harry and ron are out of our hair…well for now anyway. i told them to go look for anything that could be useful, i just wanted to have a nice 3 months you.”

“you kicked them out for me?” you asked, disbelief leaving your throat.

“well yes — and i know it’s not much but-” the brunette would’ve continued if you didn’t interrupt her, and she gives a slight pout because of it.

“but it is much, it is something ‘mione! it is because i love you.”

“i- uhm. repeat yourself, please?”

“i love you, hermione.”

“isn’t that right, ms. (y/n)?” the barely human wizard, voldemort, said, looking at you from the other side of table.

you gulped quietly, your shoulders stiffening. “yes, sir.” you murmured, glancing at the platinum blonde boy next to you before averting your gaze.

you and draco grew up together - as your mothers were very close in their teenage years, your fathers, not so much. but they got along okay.

when draco first became part of the death eaters, his mother decided it’d be easiest to have you there, to make it a little less hard on him.

“excuse me for a moment.” draco mumbled, somewhat abruptly, as lucius and the lord were in the middle of a conversation. draco stood up within the blink of an eye, and sped walked out of the room.

“would you be a dear and check on him for me, honey?” narcissa leaned over and whispered in your ear, as you were seated between draco and his mother.

you gave a small half-smile with a nod, as you politely excused yourself, afraid of what voldemort could do if you had done it in a way of which he didn’t like.

you went around the halls of malfoy manor, the walls of which most of your childhood memories took place, as sad as that is.

you saw a crack in the door of draco’s room, and you opened the door a tad more

draco said there, looking down at his folded hands, not saying anything.

“are you okay?” you asked, even though you already knew the answer.

“those meetings…get to me, sometimes.” the blonde mumbled, his voice cracking slightly.

“me too..” you answered, rubbing your hand up and down his back, as you sat next to him.

“thank you, for always being here. i’ve spent my whole life with you, i never want to let you go.” draco said, giving a small smile.

“i won’t ever leave you behind, okay?”

“this is exactly why i fell in love with you all those years ago.”

“wait…what?” you denied, your voice quiet.

“hey (y/n)!” a familiar, high, squeaky voice called out to you, sounding a bit distant.

“oh, hi, ginny.” you half smiled, looking down at the younger girl.

“i need to talk to you, now.” ginny asked — well demanded, but she meant to ask.

you’ve known ginny long enough at this point to know sometimes, when she wants to ask a question, it can accidentally turn into a demand. especially, when she’s nervous.

“okay, no problem.” you reported, knowing exactly what she was going to say.

she grabs your wrist with a firm grip — but not firm enough for your to be hurt. and walks you down to a more empty side of the hogwarts express.

“i love you. and quite frankly, i hate it when you spend more time with my brothers and less time with me because it’s not fair, i fancy you!” the smaller ginger insisted, with a small stomp of her foot to show she meant what she said.

“i love you too, don’t worry, gin.” you spoke, as you tucked a string of hair behind her ear, that was before in the middle of her face.

she gave a lopsided grin before happily skipping off and giving a sing-songy goodbye.

the yule ball of the 1994 school year was slowly coming to a close, but you were unable to find where your date had ran off to, one moment he was with his best friend, dean thomas — and now you have no bloody clue where he is.

there was only one placed you hadn’t looked yet — the astronomy tower.

you begin your walk up the tower of many staircases and you hear some intense coughing the higher and higher you reach.

before your eyes, you see your boyfriend — or date, or technically boy friend, as the relationship between the two of you is a bit complicated, with a cigarette between his fingers.

“hey seamus.” you say, as you sit down next to him, leaning into his touch.

“hi doll.” he says, grinning as he puts an arm around your waist.

“can i smoke with you?”

She rushed to get her things into her bag. Study session was over and Pansy was waiting for her. So with her back to him, already leaving, she called out, “Love you, bye!” She didn’t think anything of it. They were friends. She said it to all her friends. It was true anyway. She did love him. More than she cared to admit, though she wasn’t even saying it in the way she wished she could. She was also in fact leaving. A farewell such as her simple “bye” was solely the product of her being well mannered. So, “Love you, bye!” was not a big deal. She said it all the time. Not to him, but she was hoping she could start.

“Say it again.” She stopped in her tracks but didn’t turn to face him. “Bye?” Did he not hear it the first time? “No.” Confused, she turned on her heel and faced her potions partner with a questioning raised eyebrow. They didn’t often need words to communicate, she wondered why hers mattered now. “The other part.” Draco wasn’t rolling his eyes, he wasn’t teasing or honestly confused. He had an expression on his face she couldn’t quite figure out. A slight frown caused subtle wrinkles in between his eyebrows. She wished she could kiss it all away. She smiled at the thought before remembering what was actually the “other part” of her send-off. “I love you?” Now her own eyebrows were creased, she didn’t quite understand what he wanted, but still, she just couldn’t shake the smile off her face. Maybe she just liked how these three little words rolled so easily off her tongue. They felt so loud against the otherwise silent library. She could only hope he liked hearing it as much as she loved saying it.

Lost in her thoughts, she barely caught how he let his head fall back and sighed. It wasn't really from relief. It felt more like contentment, satisfaction… pleasure. She just watched, Pansy long forgotten, as he ran his hand down his face and said, “C’mere.” And she did. As she came closer to his seat she looked around. Empty. They were completely alone in the library and her heart started to beat just a tad faster. “Draco…” He closed his eyes again. Savouring the sound. “Fuck… I never knew I’d love hearing my own name so bad.” She took another step. “Draco…” It was barely a whisper, a question, though she did not know which one exactly she was asking. He kept his eyes closed, even as he felt her knees hit his. “Dra-” “Say it again.” A smile couldn’t help but creep up her face. “Which part?” Opening his eyes, he rested his hands on the back of her thighs. “All of it.” He looked up at her, not used to such a vulnerable position. Yet, here he was, putty in her hands, begging to hear simple words, without even caring if they were true. She smiled and put her hands through his hair. Maybe it was the fact that they were already in such a compromising position or maybe it was just the opportunity that shutting his eyes again gave her. She wouldn’t have to hide the smile, or the blush, or the overall expression on her face that gave away how much she was truly enjoying it all. “I love you, Draco.” He didn’t open his eyes. He truly believed he would never again be able to. Not after hearing an angel speak of love and uttering the name of constellations without ever mentioning the night sky. He experienced the divine and couldn’t simply go back to a hardly enjoyable existence, where her hands weren’t in his hair and his own name wasn’t such ear-candy. He rested his forehead on her torso, just in front of him. It felt so easy, they were just so close, in every sense of the word. Barely lowering her head, she whispered in his ear, “I love you. I love you, Draco.”

How did they get there? Where along the way did longing stares and brush of hands become holding of thighs, caressing of hair, and deeply sincere “I love yous”? It didn’t really matter, all these questions about how and why and where and when. It was already happening and it felt so much better than any stolen glances and sleepless nights.

So, she said it again. “Draco, I love you.” “Yeah…” “I love you, Draco.” “Again…” “I love you.” “Mmm hmm…” That was all he could manage. He was basking in the affection he’d always dreamed of. He was high on it. Hooked on it. It consumed his very being. “I love you.” She’d say, kissing the top of his platinum hair. “I’ll tell you a thousand times a day if that’s what you want to hear. I’ll tell you even when you don’t ask me to.” She takes his face, guiding his gaze back to her. When he finally opens his eyes back up, he speaks before she ever gets a chance to. “I love you, Y/n.” She closes her eyes, relishing the words he had just said. “Fuck… it does sound quite good when it’s the right person saying it…”

IT WAS A dull evening at hogwarts. nothing that shocked draco malfoy. he was used to being bored of the castle, he was too familiar with the grounds after being here so many years. nothing excited him anymore. except for seeing his girlfriend, y/n. which only happened during the late hours of the early morning and late evening. when it was silent throughout the castle, and no one could find either of you sharing spit atop the astronomy tower. your boyfriend’s personal favorite spot.

it was exactly two minutes into dinner that draco noticed you were missing from your own table. he had been glancing in your normal direction every chance he got but your friends were blocking his view. so, when he finally noticed the empty spot his eyebrows furrowed. he shook it off immediately, knowing you and how you probably were off attempting to receive a few extra house points. or maybe you were off with hagrid. or maybe, even, you lost track of time lost in a good book. that must have been it, he had convinced himself as he took another bite of his meal.

it was a few minutes later that he started to worry. he had noticed your brother, harry, missing along with a few of your best friends. draco had only assumed the group of you were off doing something he would disapprove of. theo’s voice was in his ear as if he cared, the entire duration of dinner. not that draco was paying any bit of attention as he stared off at your empty seat. trying to contemplate what to do or what to think.

“mate, what’s up with you? did ya’ hear what i told you- about that hufflepuff girl?” theo had slapped his shoulder as he tilted his head. blaise’s eyes were also locked on the silent blonde, lorenzo’s as well. draco turned slightly to face theo in an annoying manner. “no, i didn’t. and i don’t want to.”

the curly headed brunette held up his hands in innocence as he turned to face his own plate, eating his sandwhich. it was blaise’s turn to care as he watched his best friend stare off into eternity. “draco-“

draco caught none of the rest of the conversation as the sight of two of your friends entering the great hall caught his eye. there was a distraught look on both of their faces as they spoke to one another in hushed voices. okay, now he was worried. he was about to rise when he started to get into his own head. if you were completely fine, he didn’t want to embarrass you or him by exposing your private relationship. the two of you had fought hard to make it secret, and he didn’t want to blow it. you being a potter and him being a malfoy and the two of you dating would break every standard ever made. draco hated your brother and your family with every bone in his body - or so you thought.

when fifth year came round, and the two of you were partnered together in charms class, you soon learned that he wasn’t that unbearable. he, the same. months later, the two of you had been dating for just a few months - friends for nearly a year. all private due to the sake of disownement on either halves of your families. yeah, it hurt to watch you dance with fred weasley at the yule ball. or not be able to tell you that you looked pretty when he saw you at breakfast. or simply take you on dates to hogsmede. he knew how much you adored butterbeer, he just wished he could witness it for himself.

and with that, he stood. draco could hear his friends call his name as he made his way out of the great hall and to the staircase. the slytherin knew how risky he was being considering there was a very good chance you weren’t even at your dorm. but most of the students were at dinner, so he took that as a leap of faith. it was several flights of stairs to get to the ravenclaw tower. the tallest tower in the entire school.

draco had only been to your dorm room once, to drop you off after you had a bit too much fire whiskey. but every other time you had seen one another was meeting at the astronomy tower or in the library, or outside the castle on the grounds. he knew which one was yours though, he had paid first years to get you flowers twice before. once when you were ill and the second time just… because, he’s draco malfoy and he’s your boyfriend.

he entered the tower after answering the riddle, he wished all entrances had a riddle rather a secret word. draco of course believed he would answer them correctly everytime, he was just so clever. he entered the house common room cautiously, not wanting to explain to head of house professor flitwick why he was sneaking around ravenclaw dorms. the dark blue aura, the painted stars on the ceiling, the several book shelves - it all lay silent as he sighed in relief at the emptiness.

draco immediately made his way to the right staircase and walked up it too quickly, anxiously. he reached the top only to spot your brother and your friend stood outside your door. his too expensive shoes creaked too loudly against the darkened wooden final step, causing both heads to turn in his direction. he didn’t even bother hiding it at this point. “malfoy, get out of here.”

“shut it, potter.” draco rolled his eyes as he shoved passed him and pressed his head against the door. “what are you even doing here?” harry questioned as draco ignored his choice of words. “y/n, it’s me.”

that was all you needed to hear to open the door ever so slightly so you could grab him. in which you did, shoving him in your dorm room as you shut the door behind him. he furrowed his eyebrows as to why you were locked in you room with your brother and friend stood outside. you sat back down on the floor, the back of your head pressed against the edge of your bed. draco took a breath before he sat down beside you, inspecting you quickly.

your eyes seemed puffy and slightly red. you looked upset, even more upset then when you found out you couldn’t get tickets for your favorite because you had the O.W.L.S. his heart broke in several different patterns which soon turned to anger as he knew this was nothing. who hurt you?” “y/n-“

“what is malfoy doing in there? get away from my sister you-“

“silenceo.” y/n casted softly making the words of her brother now, silent. you turned to draco as it all seemed to click in your mind. “merlin’s beard, dray. you- you’re here. harry knows you’re here. no, oh no.”

“darling,” draco spoke softly as he leaned his face closer to your own. your eyes landing directly on his own light ones. “i don’t care about that right now. what’s going on, hm?”

you shook your head as you wiped the dry tears from earlier off of your face, provoking redness to come to the surface. he sighed as he tilted his head, his cold finger tracing your jaw. his whole hand cupped the side of your face as it fell into his hand sadly. “pretty girl, what’s wrong?”

“i-“ your voice cracked as you took a deep breath. “i was leaving quidditch practice and cormac…” your voice trailed off as you sniffled. “he started going on about how good i was in the game. and how he knew i was good at other things… i asked him to leave me alone and he kept going on.”

you could feel draco’s hand harden underneath your face, as if he whole body tensed. “he was saying the things he wanted to do to me and-“ your voice cracked as your hand reached to hold onto draco’s arm. “he just kept talking and talking and tried to follow me to my dorm and i kept telling him to get away from me and then he tried to-“

“i’m going to fucking avara his fat ass,” draco spit as he watched a tear drip down your cheek and into his own hand. the dorm remained silent as he placed his free hand through your hair, something that he learned calmed you down ages ago. he felt maimed knowing he couldn’t have stopped cormac, or at least wasn’t with you to walk you back to your dorm like any normal boyfriend. or that he couldn’t have been at the practice to put cormac in his place. and especially that he wasn’t there the moment you arrived there so he could hold you in his arms and let you feel like you were okay and safe. “why didn’t you tell me? or come to me?” his voice was quiet, it was practically a murmur. you only picked it up because of the silence of the room. your heart hurting at his tone.

“draco, i couldn’t come running to you.” you told him which only made his stomach twist and turn. you watched his face drop from anger to pure sadness. “i- you. fuck. y/n, you can always come running to me,” his voice came of as a question as he stuttered out his own words.

“i…” your voice trailed off as you looked anywhere but his eyes. you didn’t want to cry anymore, and you knew you would burst into tears if you had to watch his sad puppy dog expression anymore. “i didn’t want you to be mad at me. for… ruining our secret, y’know. if i came running to you that would- ugh. i didn’t want to fuck this up for you, or for your potter hating family.”

“fuck my family, y/n. fuck everyone. i only care about you. you- you come to me if you need me to lend you a quill. or if you need me to open a blimey muggle pickle jar! you come to me always, i don’t want you to think i care about father’s opinion over your feelings. you’re my girlfriend, y/n. i care about your feelings over everything, okay? just- i’m here. i’m always here for you, darling. understand?” he dropped his hands from you as he took your own in his hands, holding them tightly as he spoke. you fought a huge smile at his devotion towards you.

“i understand.” you smiled at him as his lip curved and he leaned towards you, his lips pressing softly against your own. it was a relief after the afternoon you had, and you knew nothing in the world could ever make you feel better. “now, if you don’t mind i have some business to deal with - with some slag - a curly headed fool who tried to mess with my girl.”

“hm,” you pressed your lips together as he pulled away from the kiss. “also, my brother outside of the door.” draco groaned as he stood up, helping you up as well. “ah yes, an evening full of what i call fun.”
