please behold the 24 Hours of Lemons race, in which you can only spend $500 total on a car to cross country race for 24 hours
named after the legendary 24 hour Le Mans race, Lemons rallies barely legal cars in an endurance race across America. had the privilege of sharing the freeway with this race and seeing the absolute art od this event

It’s August and do you know what that means? Next month is September also known as the arrival of fall and the season in which my heart and soul can at last be at ease!
it’s been literal weeks and i’ve only just realised this is meant to be read as “healthy burgers” and not “heal thy burgers”
#honestly without that caption i might never have figured it out
heal them
March is reading month. Let’s introduce our students to a new norm of reading 🤓
You should definitely use these books but... ive habe heard literally the exact opposite about dr. Seuss so could someone help me out here with the proof?
One illustration shows an Asian man with bright yellow skin, slanted eyes, a pigtail and conical hat, holding chopsticks and a bowl of rice
The children’s author perpetuated offensive stereotypes even as he argued against them.

I was naked and for some reason not allowed to put any clothes on (I don’t really remember why) meanwhile everyone around me acted as if it was normal for me to be butt naked at work and ignored it even when I put my boob into their milkshake to get a reaction out of them
looking at a url makes a great difference

this is a sign...
...to remind you that you are ENOUGH.
those who are constantly finding faults with your behaviour and are just not ready to accept you for who you are, are losing the opportunity to know a wonderful being.
you are kind, wise, and beautiful. you are doing your best in way forward in life and that is enough.
keep working on yourself, for your own self ✨
Easy
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
The person I reblogged this from deserves happiness and love
In many cultures, ethnic groups, and nations around the world, hair is considered a source of power and prestige. African people brought these traditions and beliefs to the Americas and passed them down through the generations.
In my mother’s family (Black Americans from rural South Carolina) the women don’t cut their hair off unless absolutely necessary (i.e damage or routine trimming). Long hair is considered a symbol of beauty and power; my mother often told me that our hair holds our strength and power. Though my mother’s family has been American born for several generations, it is fascinating to see the beliefs and traditions of our African ancestors passed down. We are emotionally and spiritually attached to our hair, cutting it only with the knowledge that we are starting completely clean and removing stagnant energy.
Couple this with the forced removal and covering of our hair from the times of slavery and onward, and you can see why so many Black women and men alike take such pride and care in their natural hair and love to adorn our heads with wigs, weaves, braids, twists, accessories, and sharp designs.
Hair is not just hair in African diaspora cultures, and this is why the appropriation and stigma surrounding our hair is so harmful.
