goro akechi’s arc in p5r really hits different as an ex cult member. he’s been manipulated by adults all his life and only wants to make a choice for himself in the third semester, and would literally rather die as someone he knows that he is instead of live forever as someone he knows that he’s not. i know it’s not in the official game, but the data mined content that showed that he went to therapy and got control of his life and managed to grow and change and being given another chance to live after firmly deciding he wanted to be himself and suffer and face death instead of be under someone’s heel forever really makes me want to sob. he deserved to live because when he was faced with being able to make his own decisions he made the right ones. to save the one person that treated him as an equal, and to live as himself. fuck
