“A real one? ‘Ow the ‘ell did she exist?” he asked, chuckling, “even back in me day we didn’t ‘ave raptors!” he said, mimicking her grin. Of course, it dimmed a bit as she mentioned running away due to her parents being super villains. Sure, it made sense. No child ever wanted to see their parents as the ones in the wrong, and that’s exactly what happened to her. “Ah…” How upset would she be if she truly knew the man before her? Cu himself had done a number of things that were considered normal back in the day, but are atrocities in the modern world.
“Sounds like quite a group. Oi’m glad ye found people ta ‘elp ye call a place ‘ome. It’s much ‘arder on yer own.” He meant that one.
Molly shrugged her shoulders at the question with a small grin. “I dunno exactly. Her parents had something to do with time travel. That’s about the extent of what I know.” She hesitated and added, “What I remember anyway. I was 11 so... Besides, the others thought they could protect me from some of it. I think I would have rathered that they didn’t. It never stopped bad things from happened, it just made it harder for me to understand when they did, you know?”
She hesitated before saying, “Me too. They’re my family, always have been. But it’s nice to be here too. To be around other mutants, you know? Makes me feel less... Less alone in the grand scheme of things, but at the end of the day I still miss them. They were my family. The only family I had. But I left because I needed answers, I needed to be in a place where I could explore my powers and see if... Well, see if there’s anything else to them besides being able to hit things. to see if there’s a way that my body won’t require so much sleep after a fight.”
