Y'know, this sapphic flag is underrated. Lately I've been feeling kind of uncomfortable calling myself bisexual or lesbian, but sapphist fits me just perfectly. It conveys literally all the important information about me and my sexuality.

And it was a pleasant surprise to find out that there is an unnecessarily specific a flag for that too, and more importantly, it isn't hideous.

Cold take but all languages are beautiful actually. Every single one. Every single human language on earth is a collection of stories interwoven into the very fabric of the words that are spoken.

“Oh but this language sounds scary-“ have you heard a child speak it while pointing at a butterfly?

“Oh but this language sounds silly-“ have you heard someone’s grandma recite a recipe with such practiced ease it comes off as poetry?

“Oh but this language is really weird-“ and yours isn’t? Everyone’s language is weird, dumbass, it came free with your fucking humanity.

Every tongue that is spoken is a work of art. Every language a unique window into the world.

Yes! Been saying this for years! I fuckin' love languages. They're all wonderful!

And German isn't a harsh or ugly sounding language, it's fucking adorable. And they call their pets a house animal which is the best fucking thing in the world. And Germans don't get hungry, they are not hungry, they HAVE HUNGER and that is metal as fuck. But cute metal as fuck. BABY METAL AS FUCK.

And you think French is romantic and seductive? Cool. Have y'all heard Thai? Thai makes me weak in the knees. Thai is the language of giddy gay flirting and seductive sweet nothings and heart warming moments of love and kindness.

And Russian? Excuse me, you think Russian is intimidating? No way. Russian is a joke between friends in the dead of icy winter. It's whispered memories of good times past. Russian is a roar of laughter over a drink. Russian is a hopeful prayer that things will get better.
