I know that I- a 22 year old- am not the target demographic for Julie and the Phantoms. But Im gonna use the same logic I used in high school when my sister mocked me marathoning high school musical. “How old are the actors.” They are my age!! If they’re not too old to be acting in this, then I’m not too old to be watching it.

Can we just talk about how Julie and the Phantoms nailed so many of the little things?

1. High school students that look like ACTUAL high school students.

2. Unrequited love that didn’t turn creepy or toxic.

3. Teens from the 90s not embodying Ross Geller.

4. A gay character whose personality didn’t Center/only revolve around their sexuality.

I just love this show so much.
