men got a taste of women's beauty standards and immediately started bashing their facial bones with hammers
a surprising number of people are learning from this post that looksmaxxers are unironically fracturing their facial bones
I’m begging you to stop accusing every young person with Tourette’s of faking.
“But they don’t tic all the time!” That’s literally normal for tic disorders.
“But they have really complex tics!” Complex cases exist.
“But they’re cringe and have Tourette’s!” Teenagers are like that.
“But I’ve never see them actually tic!” It’s not always visible.
“But-” I’m gonna stop you there.
not to be a dirty commie or anything but i don't think any one person should have enough money to solve world hunger and then get to decide not to
This Karmelo Anthony situation really reminds me that white Americans really think self defense is only for them. These white male school shooters and crowd shooters will literally aim at defenseless people and get it called "responding to bullying" (i.e. being socially isolated for being a white supremacist at 14) and "self defense" (despite showing up to a protest against racism to threaten and commit murder).
But a Black kid stabs a racist white one for threatening and attacking him at school, and suddenly it's "why does he have weapons at school" (which is apparently legal to an extent in Texas) oh NOW we wanna act like people should turn the other cheek to bullying. White kid's brother threatening to "shoot monkeys" at the school, but we supposed to believe this is unprecedented behavior. Mkay. Crazy work.
Like I've never been a proponent of guns period, but this is why I'm not mad when the response to racists acquiring guns is us acquiring guns. 🤷🏾♀️ Be damned if I sit there as a waiting duck just so I can be dead with "the higher moral ground".
I had a whole Nazi (power/burial) and his gang get mad at me for this. And some weirdo sending me racist poetry in gaelic about it. Folks will do anything other than stop being racist 😭
AND his father called Karmelo a "watermelon felon". Like. Y'all are gonna keep acting like white children don't learn racism at home that they take out on their classmates of color. "It's just a phase" well clearly it isn't, not when they're having it reinforced at home!
We won’t ever forget you.
Oluwatoyin Salau, murdered in cold blood in June, 2020. She was 19.
Listen I'm not saying that diyhrt.info has bad information. I *am* saying that I am endlessly frustrated that this is how they start the section on transmasc diy.
There is no reason to start it off comparing it to estrogen, especially since the estrogen section doesn't open up talking about how "unlike testosterone, estrogen is not a controlled substance and there isn't the same legal risk involved."
And then there's the downplaying of potential legal issues involved with DIY t. There is a difference in giving reassurance and acting like the consequences are no big deal actually, especially after mentioning how much easier to get it is than estrogen.
Why aren't we talking about how you probably shouldn't bring it on flights with you? How there are risks if you're taking it with you in your car on a trip, especially if you're a TPOC? And I know this is more niche, but how if you live with someone on probation, it getting found could have legal consequences for *them*.
Maybe a link to different states' and countries' laws about this so you can be fully informed instead of "trust me it's actually not big deal because they're not going after (cis, primarily white) gymbros."
It just feels like little snipes. Little "stop whining; you have an easier time than people going on e, actually!"
If it's supposed to come off as reassuring, it's not doing a good job imo, and I think it's being too casual about the legal considerations even in the best fair interpretation.

A coming of age story about Black kids who finally have power to fight back against systems designed against them.
Let's support Black indie animations!
cool. another black child died in a hate crime
A South Carolina jury on Monday found a store owner not guilty of murder in the 2023 shooting of a Black 14-year-old.
apparently the murder happened in 2023 after doing some research but the murderer has been found not guilty.
black children get murdered and become victims of hate crimes every fucking day. this is ridiculous
im posting this here despite the website being extremely white centered, I want people to understand how in this country it's basically ok to murder and victimize black people, especially women and children in the name of "self defense" and white America will reward you for your antiblackness.
Transgender woman faces two felony charges after drawing a firearm during an altercation.
A Wyoming transgender woman is facing two felony charges after drawing a firearm during an altercation she says began with anti-LGBTQ+ and a
Ríhanna Kelver, a bartender and trans rights advocate in Laramie, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent after a 13 September 2025 confrontation outside the Crowbar & Grill, whereshe worked. Kelver could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison if convicted on both charges.
Kelver says one man in a group of men across the street from her started shouting homophobic and transphobic insults at her before the man allegedly shoved her to the ground in a downtown crosswalk, as reported by The Laramie Reporter.
There's more, as it pertains to Black trans people's right to self-defence:
Despite Wyoming’s “Stand Your Ground” statute, which allows people to use reasonable force in moments of self defense, Kelver faces up to 15 years in prison for both charges, as well as up to $11,000 in fines, per Cowboy State Daily. Kelver faces an additional year and $1,000 fine for a charge of interference with a peace officer. [...]
As pointed out by Slate, self-defense laws are often put into question when people from marginalized communities, especially trans people, use them, including Cece McDonald, a Black trans woman who served time in a men’s prison for defending her friends during a racist and transphobic attack. Ky Peterson, a Black trans man from Georgia, was also arrested and imprisoned for killing his rapist in self-defense.
people on here who have been on 10-15+ years like myself...i don't know how they claim that there were never any Black bloggers on here, or that it was always such a white website. trudy gradientlair was on here. thisiswhiteprivilege was on here. there was a feminist citation project sara ahmed was involved in on here. there was someone on here whose username was wretchedoftheearth and that was how i learned who fanon was when i was 12, by googling those words. tumblr was the only place i knew i could go to get accurate & compassionate info about what happened to trayvon martin, when everyone around me irl was rabidly racist. the amount of reportage and scholarship that happened on here before the first big wave of bans was so huge and so much has been lost. where were you when it was happening??? why weren't you paying attention??
Every time people speak about how all the "problematic" people left the site and went to Twitter, I simply presume whoever says it is racist. Everyone who wanted to try to discourage people from returning here when Twitter was overrun, I presume was antiblack. Twitter became unsafe and Black people STILL kept at it, because it was literally still more productive for them to do work there than it was to try doing it here.
There were folks here that I know elsewhere now who literally help save lives in their communities and have online safe spaces in other places that they were able to build and cultivate. Seeing Black people who became huge when they left here will always be my perception of Tumblr. It is a place that Black people started great work and were put out because the work wasn't valued by the white Tumblr population or was straight up sabotaged by them.
I FINALLY got back in touch with Cashawn, who was the first person who got "Black Girls are Magic" poppin. I hadn't been in touch with her for nearly a decade! Because she fucking left here. And there are a few, very few who tap in and see what's up over here every now and then. But a lot of them simply let Tumblr kick rocks and they were correct to do so.
And it was the central place, not just for Trayvon's story, but everyone's. When other sites were not giving information or giving construed information, there were so many boots on the ground activists who used THIS SITE to communicate their situations and tell you what was real. In fact, one of the main points of the purges were getting rid of activists who were using the site to keep others informed.
This WAS the site people came to for things, and then it had to become Twitter and there are still ignoramuses on here who chuckle "Twitter is having old convos from Tumblr lol" Twitter is having PRESENT convos that many of the same people who were having them on Tumblr had to go have them on Twitter instead, because Tumblr became unsafe for the work that they started here. Twitter is STILL having conversations that Black people have had to have in every space we occupy and are often run out of.
But, because Tumblr IS full of white people, their arrogance makes them think they are special and smart and revolutionary. They don't even know how much of the shit they say has been picked from the bones of something that Black people originally grew on Tumblr before they were deactivated or jumped ship.
The suburbs dream of violence. Asleep in their drowsy villas, sheltered by benevolent shopping malls, they wait patiently for the nightmares that will wake them into a more passionate world.
—J.G. Ballard, Kingdom Come
"From these made-up horrors, these fictionalized enemies, he had created a villain worthy of the violent bravado that he imagined he would display if confronted by said villain. This web of racist lies was what he needed to make himself seem like a man. He invented a story about bad guys who were out to get him, and he repeated it to himself and others until he believed it. Then he made up another story- of himself as hero, defending himself and his family against this violent threat- and he repeated that one until he believed it too. Brian wrote himself into his own American westen, a world of cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers. And for a man with no job, few friends, and a family that couldn't stand him, pretending to be a main character in violent American mythology was as close to belonging as he was ever going to get."
Mediocre, Ijeoma Oluo
there's something so fucking sinister about a post comparing trans men to predators alike transphobic people as if we're not being trafficked and murdered and raped everyday while having those experiences erased getting a whole 3.5k notes. and this was written by a trans guy too! how can you be so unkind?
people in my replies arguing for their fav white guy???
mini rant on ao3 and the phrase "be the change you want to see in the world."
i see this phrase mentioned a lot. typically whenever someone points out an issue, like lack of representation or subtle bigotry in fanfiction. and it is interesting to see the lengths diehard archiveofourown fans will go to prove that they don't want to see any inclusivity in their media. even fan made media or fan spaces, regardless of how inclusive the source material is. say you wish people would consider trans characters or disabled characters or characters of color more and you get a dozen different variations of "no one wants to see you, and we definitely don't want to participate in helping you feel seen, so go fuck off and make some other space that will accept you" in return.
how it feels remembering charlie kirk got shot through the neck and died
and fuck anyone who tries to hold some moral high ground over you for feeling relief that one more white supremacist is gone🤷🏽♂️
“Put him on his knees give him something to believe in” has the exact same energy and depth of meaning as anything Hozier puts out on the regular but since it’s sung by Megan Thee Stallion no one takes it seriously. In this essay I will-
To flesh this out a little bit more: both Megan Thee Stallion and Hozier write and sing really sexual songs, but they’re different in that Hozier’s music is typically “let me worship you” while Megan’s is usually “I’m worshipping myself,” which makes all the difference because it’s an acceptance of power rather than the giving of it. He’s the sinner, she’s the saint. However, taking their difference in genres out of it, people don’t usually seem to take Megan Thee Stallion’s music seriously in comparison to Hozier because a) her lyrics are more overtly and blatantly sexual and b)she’s claiming her sexuality for herself, and that scares a lot of people. The secret, no-one-wants-to-talk-about reason is that she’s a confident black woman, which terrifies people way than sex does. In conclusion, Hozier and Megan Thee Stallion are two sides of the same poetic, sexual coin, but people just don’t want to admit it. Which is WHY a collaboration between Hozier and Megan would be so powerful that it would change the timeline as we know it yes I will elaborate
