Got a beer flight at the Blue Palms Brewhouse in Hollywood. MMMM. delicious. I tried 4 different beers, and here's what I think about them (order from left to right) New Belgium Eric's Ale - American Wild Ale, 7%. Deliciously sour beer. I keep thinking "lemon". Lots of character. New Belgium Le Terroir - dry hopped sour ale, 7.5%. Even more sour than the first. The sting is accompanied by a hint of orange. It has a softened hoppy flavor - a perfect balance. It's also very sweet, like drinking liquid candy. But the candy is adult and sophisticated. Ommegang Triskel Hennepin - Saison, 7.7%. Flowery and bright, this beer also reminds me of wheat beer. Delish. Black Market Deception - Coconut Lime Blonde Ale, 4.5%. Wow. Gourmet. Subtle coconut. Big on flavor. The aftertaste is hearty. So...how is the winner? The New Belgium Le Terroir. Fuck it's good. I mean it. Try this shit. Let me know what you think.
