Well...the dance is an ancient Trojan tradition, performed by both women and men alike. Which means that, at some point, you must either have been my guest or hosted me yourself...for I assure you, I do not dance for just anyone.

I find that I increasingly appreciate those who reveal themselves to me. It spares me the impossible task of guessing who hides behind these messages. In any case, I am honoured that the dance left such an impression upon you. I have practiced it since childhood. At every festival in Troy, members of my family take part and even during my diplomatic journeys abroad, I often had the privilege of sharing this tradition with others.

It is a dance...an art and a celebration. It is meant to bring joy, not to serve as fuel for anyone's fantasies. Though, judging by some of the messages I receive, that distinction seems to be lost on a great many people.

Oh, please, tell me something I do not already know. It was only a matter of time before this blond-haired maniac finally turned on his own people...and honestly? I can hardly blame him. If king Agamemnon were shouting orders at me day and night, I might be tempted to throw a spear at him myself.

The Achaeans carry an astonishing amount of anger within them. It is truly unnatural. One would think that eventually a man would simply collapse beneath the weight of so much bitterness and pride. Perhaps it is only a matter of time before they all turn on one another and finish what we Trojans have been trying to accomplish for years.

I confess, the thought of watching such chaos unfold from atop our walls, with a cup of wine in hand, has a certain appeal.

Oh, gods my little one! He truly is a whirlwind, is he not? He has already begun babbling and saying Baba and he is still so very young. Every day he discovers some new way to test the patience and vigilance of everyone around him. He is a miracle, truly more curious than any child has a right to be.

Come here, little one. Come to your father. You look quite tired. And you have my thanks. Preventing my son from attempting to explore all of Troy on his own...by crawling, no less is no small achievement. You have spared me a great deal of worry. Now, if you will excuse me, I believe it is time for his nap before he discovers yet another way to cause trouble. I shall return shortly.

Which Achaean king do you like best, and which do you not like? (Note that liking is relative. I'd say it's really more along the lines of which do you find the least and most annoying)

That is a difficult question.😮‍💨 After so many years of war, it is not easy to look upon the Achaeans without thinking of all they have taken from my brothers, my countrymen, and my people within these walls. Yet if I were forced to place my trust in one of their kings, I believe I would choose @kingofsparta , Menelaus. Helen speaks of him with great warmth still, and she is my friend. For that reason alone, I think he would not willingly do me harm. And when I knew him better…he was a good man.

As for the one I despise most...that choice is somehow even harder, for the competition is truly impressive. Agamemnon is a ruthless tyrant consumed by power. Diomedes is little more than a bloodthirsty beast and Odysseus… by the gods, that man is a lying charlatan who mistakes cunning for wisdom.

I cannot include Ajax, Idomeneus, or Nestor among them; the cruelty of certain others overshadows them too greatly. So forgive me I cannot choose. My only wish is that they leave our shores and never return.

Your highness what do you think about your cousin Aeneas?

Aeneas? Well, I believe I have spoken of him often enough already. When we were children, he visited Troy frequently. For him, our city was always the grandest place imaginable...after all, he comes from a smaller settlement near Mount Ida. I still remember how, in the weeks before each visit, he would grow so excited that he could scarcely sleep at all.

He and my brother Deiphobos are the same age, which is a truly disastrous combination. Together, they may well be the greatest source of chaos the gods ever allowed to walk this earth. And yet, we always had wonderful times together...whether the three of us alone or among the rest of my family. I am deeply grateful that, even now, in these dark days, he stands beside Troy and lends us the protection of his divine mother.

Though I warn you...should you ever come to Troy, there is no man you ought to fear more than Aeneas when it comes to flirting. It is absolutely unbearable.😔

How do you feel about Helen

I pity her alot to be honest she should just be brought back to her people, it's mostly Paris' fault.

Helen is my sister, and I will not speak ill of her, for in my eyes she has done nothing deserving of cruelty or hatred. I can tell you this much: she is safe in Troy. She is treated with kindness, she has companions here, and she is under my protection. Though, admittedly, Paris has a remarkable talent for disturbing whatever peace surrounds her. That, unfortunately, is simply the nature of my brother.

And yes…I know she misses her husband deeply. I understand that pain more than most. Were I separated from my beloved for so many years, I believe my own heart would break anew each day. Had Menelaus not come to our shores with such an army behind him…who can say what might have happened by now. Perhaps matters would already have found a gentler ending.

Toys? What sort of toys?🤨 I confess, I do not entirely understand the question or why a carrot seems to be involved. These little pictures and hidden meanings continue to confuse me greatly.

In any case, whenever time allows, I play with my son often enough. We have little wooden horses, marbles, and small pottery figures, Polydamas crafts the finest ones for him, and sometimes we simply amuse ourselves with whatever we happen to find in the garden.

My little boy is wonderfully uncomplicated. He finds joy in the smallest things. Beyond that…I cannot think of any other "toys" you might mean.

Ah, I have been asked something like this before. I believe I finally understand what that word means now.

I am a warrior, and my healers place great importance upon my diet. Even so, I hold animals in high regard, and I agree that needless suffering, whether of man or animal is a terrible thing.

The gods demand sacrifices; such has always been the way of the world. Yet I understand and respect the feelings behind your choice. My sister Polyxena, too, has refused to eat the sacrificial animals or the birds and fish brought to our table. As for myself… I cannot promise I could live the same way and I suspect my wife would be rather unimpressed if I tried; so you have to forgive me.

Prince Hector, has anyone asked your opinion on Diomedes of Argos? If not, what do you think? At the very least, a better opinion than Achilles, I imagine.

Ah, it is interesting that you think so. Yet I must tell you that King Diomedes is, in my eyes, every bit as bloodthirsty as the Prince of Phthia.

I do not think highly of him. He cuts through my Trojans mercilessly, disregards the laws of war, and seems almost to thrive on bloodshed and suffering. It is cruel to witness. I pray each day that this war never turns me into such a man. And the rumors that he dares even to strike at the gods…well, that is arrogance no mortal should possess.

Oh, my friend, such things do not happen quite so quickly. I know that by now many among the Achaeans likely wake each morning hoping to hear that I have finally fallen dead where I stand but so far, the gods have shown me mercy.

I am a busy man. The burden of being Crown Prince is not a light one, and I know I cannot always give my people the attention they deserve. Yet I ask you to believe that I am doing all that I can and should such dark days ever truly come upon Troy, you would certainly hear of my death soon enough but set your mind at ease I still live, and Troy still stands strong.

How can you say that you expect your own death, husband mine? Do you think so little of yourself, so little of us that you would simply expect it of your own fate and not fight it? Please, Hektor, do not say such things as that you believe your own death in war inevitable, I cannot bear it. If not for me than for our son you must fight against such an end.

Well, I have finally learned what a movie is, and I believe that alone deserves some recognition. It is already a great step forward for me.

I still cannot fully explain how such a thing works, nor can I truly picture it in my mind, but at least now I understand what you mean when you speak of them. As for the movie you mention I do not believe I know it. I was under the impression that there existed only one movie and that it is about my beautiful Troy, though I must confess that the version people have shown me left me rather dissatisfied.

So tell me...is this one also about my city? And more importantly is it any better than the other one?
