not to sound corny but the textile arts make me feel connected to the world around me. it's so intentional and deliberate and when i sit and do it, i think a lot about how many other women that came before me used to do it, how many hands have used the same supplies i am using, and how many other people might be doing the same thing as me all across the world right now
When you learn how to crochet/ knit or really any type of fiber arts, there will be a voice in your head that tells you that you should make something for everyone for the holidays.
Do not listen to that voice, for it is the devil.

I think it’s time to return to my roots— lmao let’s see how long I can last this time on this silly ass app
With every update Minecraft becomes less lonely, we started on just endless plains of grass with nothing in sight and now there’s life everywhere
The quiet sadness is beginning to fade from this once desolate world. The bees are returning to the forests. You can hear the chirping of parrots in the jungles and the yipper of foxes scurrying through the trees. The villagers have rediscovered agriculture, smithery, and finer arts like brewing and tapestry. Some have even tamed llamas and begun to travel the world.
Once barren depths, the ocean floors are now full of life, from the coral reefs now growing in warm waters to the ships that have floated to surface, all brimming with cheerful dolphins, turtles, and all kinds of fish. Even the zombies seem to have found a home under the sea, where many have taken up fishing as a hobby.
So much beauty is returning to our world.
Because the words spoken so long ago are finally coming true without as they have always been within.
And the universe said I love you.
And the universe said you are love.
And the universe said you are stronger than you know.
And the universe said you will never be alone.
im in a group message with a bunch of straight guys and i have no idea what's going on. for example one of them just shared this meme which is simply enlightened:
No matter what bad things happen in the world, let’s just always be grateful that Glee ended before Old Town Road came out
bear and bird are friends
sometimes this’ll get a burst of notes and that is strange. it’s nice, too, but it’s strange. i wrote and drew this at three am on a school night, right on the precipice of leaving high school, fearing change and fearing growth, because they were not things that had ever been kind to me. i decided, instead of panicking, i’ll draw a bear. and then, instead of trying to make the bear look perfect, i’ll draw a bird.
and it’s three am on a school night, yeah, so i’m looking out my window at the sky, and i’m thinking, i am so used to not wanting to be alive. but i did want to be alive, right then, and so i thought, why is that? when and how did i get to that point?
so i wrote it down, and i posted it, because my therapist told me that i should share more of my work, even if i think its points are hackneyed and its details are messy. and then, people liked it. which is so fucking weird. and kind. and good. and fucking weird.
basically: thank you for liking this. i’ve grown and i am growing, and i am not so scared anymore. i want to draw more birds and bears, someday. i hope you’ll like them, too.
I dont know what emotion this gives me but im feeling it violently

what she says: i’m fine
what she means: it’s 2 am and I can’t stop thinking about the Pied Piper. Initially i thought it was just an old faerie tale but i’ve been reading up on it and it turns out that at some point in the town of Hamelin, a bunch of children really did go missing all at once in fact a stained glass window in the local church in 1300 was made to tell the story AND Hamelin’s written history literally BEGINS in 1384 with the sentence “it is 100 years since our children left.” There are a ton of theories about what the piper could actually represent but historians are pretty much convinced that something did take away children en masse in the 1200s in Hamelin and to this day we still use the phrase “it’s time to pay the piper.” When will we pay him? Who was he???? Like okay I see the theories but what if some flute paying faerie really just led a bunch of kids away in 1284 I cannot get over this.
