Discipline is being able to force yourself to do something in spite of how you feel, over and over until it becomes a habit. -Kim Brenneman *The first picture is me not hardly a week ago. The second is me last september. The difference is i was over 40lbs heavier last sept. And I was probably close to over 30% body fat. I wasn't motivated then, I was honestly depressed with what I looked like and hated having to buy large or extra large clothing. At the start of 2018 I made those same new year goals that most moms make... New body, better health, fit in my old clothes. Only this year in about 4 months I was down 30lbs, never skipping the gym and my clothes were falling off. 😎 I busted my ass everyday in the gym and in the kitchen, I made sure I didn't binge eat if I was upset or stressed. Here the past month I've been tested so hard on my discipline. When my kiddos passed a wonderful virus along to me and I was up for 5 hours puking I still pulled myself together and somehow made it to the gym that morning. Now I'm totally not saying thats the best decision especially when you try to do decline bench and realize gravity works real well on a sick stomach. 😅 What I'm saying is don't let excuses stop you. Your goals and resolutions are achievable if you just stop accepting the comfort zone you put yourself in. A little progress each day adds up to big results! 😎 every time I see my veins popping out I basically turn into an over excited dorky squirrel.. Even in public. 😅 can't help it 🤷🏻 the excitement of knowing I'm so close to crushing more goals; of being the leanest and most muscular I've ever been, has me so hyped for the next year! All this started out as resolutions for 2018. And like so many others I didnt think much would come of it. Now we're pushing through October and im no where close to letting anything includong myself stop me. 🌼 So if I can find the drive and discipline to do it so can you! Push past limits and excuses. Push past the nay sayers and the people waiting for you to fail. And if you need someone in your corner to cheer you on, well I'm pretty good with pompoms 💃🏻😄 So get up, get dressed, and go crush every goal and dream you've ever had! HAPPY SWOLE SATURDAY! ...... I love that moment. The one where you're driving, or listening to music and you totally space out. The world and all your troubles fall away and you are only focused on one singular thing. You are peaceful and happy. This is the feeling I get when I throw my headphones on and walk through the gym doors. No one else matters. I'm selfish. I'm focused. And I'm there for one purpose only. To become better than I was yesterday. As a mom of two wild and wonderful boys; and a few fur children, I'm always just go go go... But I make time for that moment of selfish peaceful relief. That keeps me sane... Well most days. That gives me the energy to keep up with the constant bombardment of questions, fights and flat out chaos that happens daily in my house. There's a weird moment serenity that takes over when you can lift something heavy and feel every muscle in your body screaming at you. Haha maybe that makes me a masochist but it sure does keep this momma from the edge 😅 But seriously whether your a mom or not take time to find what makes you peaceful. Be selfish. Find happiness. And we are given great adversity. This is true for all aspects of our lives; jobs, relationships, family and ourselves. Daily we are given that choice to either better ourselves and become strong or stay off track and become weak. Its never easy to be strong. Life itself was never meant to be easy. Other wise what's the point. We must become strong to grow and change and become something better than we were before. There are plenty of times I've shown weakness. But what counts is getting back up and overcoming those slip ups. Pushing forward. Life takes work, relationships take work, your goals take work and its not about perfection its about progress.
