has anyone else wondered why the game changers characters always eat the grossest pre-sex food ever? Scott cooks prawns, Ilya cooks tuna, Eric cooks eggs, Troy orders salmon at the spa... like I'm sorry but who wants to be making out with those tastes in their mouth?
eat sexier foods guys
(honourable mention to the chocolate covered strawberries Troy and Harris share, they understand setting the mood there)
so the real question is, Ilya and Shane are multimillionaires with huge houses, there's no way they're cleaning those themselves
so like do they just have the chillest cleaners in the world? ik shane washes his duvet and stuff and strips sheets for the maids in the hotels, but in tlg they're always at eachother houses there's no way their cleaners don't know
Rachel Reid explain??
She would have loved you. Like I love you.

what the fuck are these 😅
heated rivalry things I've noticed when my stupid laptop was buffering
number one: poster for under dark. iconic. hi rose
number two: who the fuck is this? ilya come back
not Svetlana following me to Duolingo
just thinking about show Elena telling Scott he deserves sunshine and book Yuna telling Shane to get a lamp for his home
running to tumblr to find heated rivalry people and ask if anyone else was thinking that the lighting some people were complaining about in the first two episodes was very very intentional and used to represent them being hidden and unable to be themselves- especially Shane. when he's waiting for Ilya the first time he turns off all the lights, then changes his mind and turns on a lamp. he lets a little bit of light in for Ilya. Ilya seems to have more lights on when Shane comes to him (i mean vegas scene come on). they remain largely in the dark when they're together because that's how it has to be- either harsh stadium lights or darkness. but then the tuna melt scene forces them into the daylight- they see eachother in perfect light and have to confront that and what it means for them. it goes darker again when Shane isn't able to work out who he is and like i think the entire club scene is just perfection. this is the first time we see them together in the dark but not *together*. the light flashes them in and out of darkness as they look at eachother, both acknowledging the depth of their feelings for eachother. and then like as soon as Shane accepts his feelings everything is bright and warm and now in episode 5 even at night they're glowing. everything in episode 5 is like bathed in golden light, Shane and Rose at the restaurant, Ilya and Shane at the beach, in Ilya's hotel room, their first phone call, their phone call where Ilya is confessing his love in Russian... more probably that i can't remember off the top of my head.
I'm honestly just so impressed with the lighting department's storytelling, showing us the feelings that translate from the books
like Scott and Kip have way more scenes in the light because they weren't as afraid of being caught/being themselves as Shane and Ilya were. we knew from the start if we'd read the books the Scott and Kip are the catalyst for Shane and Ilya fully accepting their feelings for eachother (which is not to diminish their story i love them deeply but in the context of holanov) so we see a lot more of them in full light because they're far more ready for it. Scott invites Kip to the game, he flirts with him at the smoothie shop, he tries an outing with Kip even though that ultimately ended not great. he's more ready for it than Shane and Ilya. they can't do any of that. until episode 5. they're on the same team. they're allowed to be together in the light and they choose to do it. and they keep choosing to do it. they finally choose sunshine
I'm rambling but i just love it so so much
feel like shit just want them back
when we’re done with our overwhelming grief we’ll eat i guess
You guys do know you're supposed to reblog things, right
"well i like this post but i'm worried my followers might not" fuck your followers. The entire point of tumblr is to cause irreparable psychic damage to your followers. We are locked in mortal combat on the astral plane. You must win. You Must Win. You Must Destroy Them.
i actually really enjoy winter i don’t mind that it gets dark so early

i think being alive is the worst thing that can happen to a person
I am unfortunately just like other guys. I like trashy horror, dog poems, cannibalism as a metaphor for obsessive devotion, religious imagery, people who use my name in a sentence, academic validation, lying for fun, being bisexual and bleeding out in the snow.
sometimes I see older people and I’m like... how do you do it? how do you cope with the loss of people and places and things as life progresses
now having watched the entirety of OFMD S1 and S2 multiple times, one place that never fails to take me out at the knees is the audience finding out that Ed’s mother was in service in the very same episode that he goes to a fancy rich person party where Stede—who is himself impossibly wealthy landed gentry—intentionally sides with the servants and his lowborn crew.
Stede slipping away from all the posturing and sniping to hang out with Frenchie “who was in service for a minute”. Stede who is more excited to meet and collude with Abshire than to talk to a single rich person from his own world. Yes, Stede burns all the rich people alive for being cruel to Ed and that’s very charming of him! But every rewatch, the thought of baby Ed growing up to find the kind of gentleman he always hated and envied embodied in someone who would take his side every time just knocks me flat. Ed sought out an avatar of everything he longed for (yet wanted to destroy) and accidentally discovered a lonely oddball who wanted him more than any of the rest of it. “I found the kind of person I envisioned as my bitterest rival and he smiled in recognition of a kindred soul only to swear he’d make all my most ridiculous and insignificant fantasies come true” is just so!!!!!!!!!
“the crew is my family now” and “peasants marry for love” and marmalade with a flourish of twine and Ed on the verge of tears finding Stede hiding outside the party agreeing with Frenchie about the absurdity of spoon politics. my god my god my GOD!
